Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), founded in 1898, was the first institution in the world dedicated to research and teaching in the field of tropical medicine. As a registered charity, we work across the world, often in very difficult circumstances, to fulfil our mission of reducing the burden of sickness and mortality in disease endemic countries. We do that through the delivery of effective interventions which improve human health and are relevant to the poorest communities. Our work in combating diseases such as TB, HIV/AIDS, malaria, dengue and lymphatic filariasis is supported by a research order book of well over £210 million. Our worldwide reputation and the calibre of our research outputs has secured funding to lead over 10 international consortia and product development partnerships aimed at reducing or eliminating the impact of diseases upon the world's poorest people. Our state-of-the-art facilities continue to develop new drugs, vaccines and pesticides which put us at the forefront of infectious disease research. As a teaching institution, we attract more than 600 students from 68 countries, from PhD research and Masters programmes to a range of professional courses, and work in partnership with health ministries, universities and research institutions worldwide to train the next generation of doctors, scientists, researchers and health professionals. The provision of technical assistance is a major component of LSTM's mission of promoting the improved health of the poor and disadvantaged peoples. LSTM consultancy improves health systems in developing countries whilst helping to inform our teaching and research agendas.

Welcome to The Crochet Sanctuary! The Crochet Sanctuary is an amazing weekend or day away and full of relaxation and crochet galore. We are based at Cranage Hall, in Cheshire UK. Cranage Hall, the home of The Crochet Sanctuary is set on 20 acres of landscaped gardens in the Cheshire countryside, this stately property in an Elizabethan manor 1.2 miles from Holmes Chapel and 6.9 miles from Knutsford. During your stay not only can you indulge in plenty of food, yarn and workshops but you'll also get to relax and unwind in comfortable bedrooms, each guest will have their own double room as standard, no sharing, and your own bathroom, so you can starfish to your hearts content, each room includes free wifi, flat-screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. And of course if you do become all crocheted out, then we also have access to the gym and the heated indoor pool where they also provide GHD's in the changing rooms. At Cranage Hall, our crochet santuary room is held a large crochet room, so that given the current times we can social distance, we understand that many of you lead corporate lives throughout the week, so the last thing we want is for you to feel as though you're in a corporate environment for your weekend, so we make sure that all of our seats are soft and comfortable. Energy Kidz Ofsted Registered Holiday Clubs run every school holiday for primary school aged children.Breakfast Club In preparation for a busy school day, the Breakfast Club focuses on quieter activities, such as Lego, arts and crafts, puzzles, toys and board games. Children get dropped off by parents any time from the start of the session. At the end of the session Key Stage 2 children are released to make their own way to their classes, while Key Stage 1 children are escorted to their class teacher or a designated drop off point. After School Club In our After School Clubs, we pride ourselves in delivering a fun, happy and safe place for children to freely play with their friends, take part in activities, art and craft, sport, chill out or enjoy the variety of toys and games available. The club is set up to provide a fun and stimulating environment when the child arrives. There are activities such as Lego, puzzles, toys and board games so children can start playing straight away. Children are able to go outside as soon as possible each day (normally once everyone is registered and the playground has cleared). Children are able to flow between the indoor and outdoor area. Children can freely play outside, taking advantage of the school facilities including adventure play areas where they are available. There is also equipment such as skipping ropes and sports equipment, as well as go karts and scooters at some clubs too.

St Benedict's is a comprehensive secondary school of about 740 boys and girls aged from 11 to 18 years. The school serves the Catholic communities of West Suffolk and Thetford and gives priority for admissions to children who are baptised Catholics, but has always welcomed others who wish to gain from and participate in the Christian life of the school. St. Benedict’s is situated on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds and is readily accessible by car or public transport. The school has six acres of playing fields and the accommodation is spacious and under constant improvement. There are specialist suites for all subject departments. The School Library has been transformed into a Learning Resource Centre with the addition of a suite of computers. In addition to the Learning Resource Centre, there are 5 more dedicated Computer suites, making St. Benedict’s one of the best-equipped schools for ICT in the area. Remodelling the School Hall enhances our facilities for Sport, Drama and Worship, as does the addition of a Fitness Studio to enhance sport and promote healthy lifestyles. Special Needs provision is excellent, and based in a new Learning Support area. Recent extensions and improvements have included an All-weather surface for tennis, hockey, netball and 5-a-side football, an additional science room, and the new classroom block which serves as a base for year 7 and 8. Art, Drama and Music flourish and, in spite of the schools relatively small size, success on the games field is notable.
