About this event This portrait class will provide you with all you need to start drawing from a sitter including paper, pencils and tuition. More experienced artists/portraitists are welcome to attend and bring any specific materials they prefer to work in. Do you have lots of scraps of fabric or old favourite clothes sitting in your cupboards? Learn how to use Bondaweb to turn them into collages, which can be made into brooches, pictures, book covers, lavender bags – in fact anything you like! Materials will be provided but you can bring your own fabric too. Tea, coffee, biscuits and materials are supplied and included in the cost of the workshop.

Love ceramics and want to learn more about sculpture? Join these fortnightly sessions and learn the principles of building with clay; using ‘Slab’ @Coi’ and fine modelling techniques to produce figurative work. This will include an exploration of clay thickness; consistency; strength; shrinkage and using supports. Clay costs included in the session, but should you wish your piece to be fired there will be a small additional charge.

About this event This class is going to look at portrait painting using photographs to explore how to achieve volume, we are currently working in Grisaille (many greys) and will go on to look at glazing and flesh tones in the upcoming months. This class has no model and intends to give some experience before moving on to the model. Please bring a canvas or board. It is also good to have your own paint brushes if possible. Some boards and canvas's are available to purchase if you are unable to get one in advance The works has boards, brushes and canvas for a few pounds.
