We also offer bespoke training courses or in house training nationwide. Upon arrival at our centres candidates will be inducted to the site by their qualified instructor who will be training them for the day. After registration candidates will be issued with a pack full of information relevant to the category they are being trained in. Included in this pack are theory questions, practical specifications, pre-start check lists, marking sheets and more. We ensure that these materials provided excel the individual to successfully complete their course. We are aware that having good quality machines give candidates a significant advantage when undertaking their training. We endeavour to supply candidates with the highest quality plant training and machinery on our site using a variety of certified suppliers. These machines come equipped with all the health and safety features and include – but are not limited to – JCB, Magni, Merlo, Caterpillar, Thwaits and Manitou. Gold CSCS Card NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision This qualification is for managers on-site who are working as a site supervisor or assistant site manager. You should be liaising with contractors, supervisors, and construction site management, organising resources, and have responsibility for health and safety and quality control such as inductions, briefings toolbox talks and inspections. You may work across one or more of the following Pathways: Building and Civil Engineering Highways Maintenance Residential Development Conservation Demolition Induction - As soon as you register you will be given a dedicated assessor. They will arrange an induction and together with your assessor you'll get to decide on the pathway which best proves your competency. The induction is used to plan out how you will gather the relevant evidence to complete the course. During the course - The assessor will work with you to build a portfolio of evidence that allows you to showcase your knowledge, skills and experience. The assessor will also regularly review and provide you with feedback. This will allow you to keep on track to progress quickly. You will be assessed through various methods such as observations, written questions, evidence generated from the workplace, professional discussion and witness testimonials. The Site Safety Plus SMSTS course was introduced on 1 April 2002 as part of the Site Safety Plus CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme. All Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificates issued after 1st January 2001 are valid for a five year period from the date of issue. The two day refresher course will enable current SMSTS certificate holders to renew their qualification, however this course can only be attended by current and valid CITB SMSTS certificate holders. The CITB SMSTS Refresher certificate training course is designed to ensure that personnel maintain and up-date their current health and safety knowledge. The course covers changes to legislation, approved codes of practice and best working practice within the industry. Individuals wishing to renew their SMSTS training certificate must provide a copy of the original five-day course certificate. Details of the course venue and the date of the course should also be provided if known. Only those individuals who have passed the five day course and provided evidence of this will be eligible to take the two day refresher course.
