What you'll do Encourage nature into your garden by making your own bird box or bug hotel, all from recycled materials. Your design can be based entirely around what you’d like to attract to your garden, from birds to bees. You’ll finish with your own completely unique piece for the garden. Your hosts, Scott and Sue, will guide you through everything you need to know, from the tools to use to how to prep your recycled material. They'll be happy to help with ideas big or small and will have example designs to hand and lots of inspiration. You’ll be creating in Scott’s heated workshop, fully equipped with everything you need and with lots of space for building. At the end of your experience you’ll get to take home a bug house to be proud of, as well as leaving with the skills to create other upcycled pieces. Please bring a face mask as you’ll need to wear one at certain points during your experience. Face shields will be optional to wear for the rest of your time in the workshop and these will be provided. All workspaces will be fully sanitised and there will regular hand washing throughout. On the day You don't need any previous woodwork experience, just some enthusiasm! Please wear old clothes (or something that you don’t mind getting damaged or torn) and sensible, closed toe footwear. Work boots are recommended. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day, but please bring along your own packed lunch. Course Location courses can be either in Glastonbury or at Scott's own workshop near the Bath and West show grounds (BA46QN) and will be confirmed.

We invite you to join us for a floral experience, creating a beautiful arrangement you can take home and learning a new skill. Our team of professionals will take you through basic mechanics, colour coordination, types of blooms.  To add to your experience we will have treats and a glass of sparkling wine or non-alcoholic cocktail. Spend your Friday night learning something new in our beautiful studio located in Angel.  You will leave with a gorgeous two-piece arrangement, two dinner candles and a sense of fulfilment. 

A full day class where you'll create a couple of pieces of jewellery from silver clay. You'll learn various different techniques and to start your silver clay journey.

This one day silver bangle making course lead by jeweller Kirsten Hendrich will introduce you skills and techniques required to design and make your own silver sterling bangles. From cutting, shaping and texturing the silver, through to soldering and polishing. You will create each link and a T bar clasp. This is a fantastic project to help you learn or improve your soldering skills, and a great introduction to jewellery making. WHEN: Saturday 16th November 10-5pm WHERE:  Workshop 925 based at The Mayford Centre, just outside of Woking and very close to Guildford. We work really hard to make sure our students love what they create, so if you have a chunkier design idea in mind, please get in touch as the material costs increase and it can be more difficult to create thicker links, so we just need to check it is achievable within the time frame. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None, all abilities are welcomed. We support you throughout the session and provide demonstrations to show you the techniques and steps needed to create your own chain bracelet from start to finish. Our small classes mean we are able to provide each student with the support they require. Students must be 16+ Students aged 14 or 15 are able to attend if accompanied by an adult. Long hair should also be tied back when working with the equipment. You may also wish to bring a notebook. We have handouts for many demonstrations, but there are always many tips and tricks given verbally by the tutor, which some might like to keep note of.
