Come and learn to make your own unique solid silver glass pendant and earrings using silver clay and a cabochon, which is a gem that has been polished but not faceted. Our instructor, Louise, is fully qualified as a senior tutor and holds an Art Clay Higher Diploma and has been teaching jewellery making for over ten years. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced jeweller, Louise is on hand to help you create your own cabochon design from silver clay. You'll be guided by Louise to help you make your own pieces for you to treasure and take away! Louise has a relaxed, informal approach with the aim of having fun as well as learning and creating lovely pieces of jewellery. WET FELTING WORKSHOP - make a piece of felted fabric H1, Hill of Rubislaw, Aberdeen Suitable for adults and children aged 9+ (children under 12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult). Learn the traditional method of felt making. Using wool, soap, water and friction, we will turn the wool into a piece of felted fabric. This is very much an experimental class, laying down different fibres and textures, having fun and letting your imagination go wild. You will make either an abstract, a decorative textured piece or try creating a picture. After the class, the felted fabric could then be made into all manner of things. I will have samples with me to give you some ideas. Price includes all materials, tuition and light refreshments. Fun with felt flowers gives beginners all the basic information to learn felting around a resist. In the three and a half hours, students will make two different flowers, using different techniques, along with different centres. Workshops start at 10am. I can teach up to nine people here and I can also travel within 20 miles if someone wants a group of friends (minimum 5 participants) in their own house or school. Fabulous idea for a hen party! Please note, though, I do charge mileage. If you have a larger group (say WI or class parents) I am happy to run workshops for up to 20 people in your own venue. My workshops are not timetabled, so there is a great deal of flexibility on dates - just get in touch and we'll sort out a day to suit us both!Please also check out my other listings for Workshops in a Wallet. I will show you how to size, design, make and fire your ring into a beautiful solid silver piece ready to wear home. You will make a patterned ring band and a ring with a stone setting.
