8 Week pottery course for beginners specialising in pottery wheel techniques

This two-day course will introduce you to different methods and techniques used within the metal industry, and you will come away with a finished product at the end (Example: ornamental garden flower, weather vane or a wall mounted coat rack).

Introduction to palette knives, developing textures and depth in creating landscapes in oils. Learn key points in creating dynamic paintings using reference materials from the rural landscape of Neath. Teaching will be through demonstrating and one to one time with students.

Masterful use of shape can take your work to new heights, add vitality and energy to your work with improvised free cut shapes is the goal of this workshop. Exercises will focus on sharpening your awareness of the role shape can play in your work. Ideas will be developed by using fused fabric studies. Fabric compositions will be developed using piecing and raw edge fused collage. Learn to use shape and colour confidently by fusing, appliqueing, piecing or stitching them to add movement and direction to your work. Working with a variety of shapes you will learn how to add a new graphic quality by stitching or overlapping colour to make an individual free-form composition.  You may choose to work by hand or machine or both.

Add a specialism and tap a new detailing market. Motorbike detailing is an untapped market for many detailers. Designed specifically for established Professional Detailers, this course will give you the best-practice knowledge and skills required to perform in-depth detailing and related work on motorcycles in a safe and effective manner, taking the guesswork out of a new sector. You are not required to hold a Motorbike Licence as no riding will be taking place, and all training vehicles will be provided for you. Professional Motorcycle Detailing Designed specifically for established Professional Detailers, this course will give you the best-practice knowledge and skills required to perform in-depth detailing and related work on motorcycles. At the end of the course, you will sit a brief theory assessment to ensure the specific, and general, knowledge has been taken on board prior to the award of your qualification. Attending a Maker Space session will give you an informal and enjoyable introduction to Computer Aided Design and Digital Manufacturing. We use only open source design software, that you can download and use at home for free. We have 3D Printers, a CNC Router, a Laser-cutter, a digital embroidery machine, and a 3D scanner, and all of them are available for you to use.
