We offer a variety of options for our Dermaplaning, Microneedling and Chemical Peel training courses across the UK. Bespoke one to one and team training courses are available to book at your clinic/salon. Dermaplaning, Microneedling and Chemical Peels are much sought after treatments. Our courses are extremely thorough and include everything you need to know to make these treatments a successful addition to your business. We believe that treatments such as Dermaplaning should compliment the services and you products already offer in your business rather than being tied to buying additional specific products. Craven College – a Further Education College based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, “The Gateway to the Dales”. Our unique position – at the juncture of West Yorkshire and East Lancashire enables us to offer a variety of further and higher education courses, including apprenticeships, undergraduate degrees and part-time adult education. Craven College started life in 1825 as the Skipton Mechanics Institute on the High Street in Skipton. During the Second World War the Skipton Art School and Skipton Technical Institute were established. In 1954 the Skipton Art School and Technical Institution become the Craven Institute for Further Education. In 1974, the College was renamed the Craven College of Adult Education and the full-time courses flourished mainly leading to secretarial work, hospitality and catering, social work and small business management. The Aireville Campus was developed in 1989 adjoining Aireville School (now The Skipton Academy). The Auction Mart Campus was later developed to accommodate all land-based courses and The Aviation Academy was established in Yeadon at Leeds Bradford Airport. Tyro Training was established in 2003 offering flexible training, consultancy and support to business across the North of England. With its HQ at Craven Cattle Mart in Skipton, Tyro Training also has a training base in Scarborough. The Animal Management Centre was opened for students in 2018 with specialist rooms for aquatics, invertebrates, nocturnals, reptiles, amphibians and small mammals. From its premises in Ripon, Evolve supports young people from across North Yorkshire with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and offers full Study Programmes, with a focus on work experience and skills for employment.

The spirit of the Centre’s aims has remained unchanged for over 100 years: Swarthmore seeks to inspire lives through friendly learning within a commitment to equality of opportunity Swarthmore is a centre for lifelong learning, community projects and family learning sessions as well as the courses and activities. Our main aim is to encourage people who want to learn but might not feel comfortable in more formal educational institutions. We work on a friendly, human scale. Many volunteers currently support the Centre’s work, and we welcome their contributions of time and energy. The Centre was founded by members of the Quaker movement in 1909 with the aim of including and involving people in learning activities and making sure that people were treated with equality and respect. Two members of the Society of Friends remain on our democratically elected ‘Council’ of Trustees, made up of Centre members and representatives of community organisations with shared aims. Swarthmore is a not-for-profit registered charity, and a company limited by guarantee. Our Grade II Listed Building has a fascinating history and is made up of six four-story terraced houses with additional dance and art studios to the rear. We have specialist facilities for pottery, jewellery, stained glass and sculpture, and the atmosphere is intentionally homely and informal. We also work within the local community on negotiated projects, including arts and ‘Skills for Life’ programmes. Many groups and individuals make use of the Centre as a community resource, providing facilities for a wide variety of local groups. Swarthmore attracts a social mix of people who come to the Centre because of their shared interests in learning rather than their background. We offer room hire at competitive rates, and welcome the public to use our café facilities. In the past few years, his research and teaching have converged on the use of causal inference methods and how these can be integrated with machine learning and AI. Peter WG Tennant Dr Peter WG Tennant Associate Professor of Health Data Science Trained initially in Epidemiology, Peter is now a health data scientist at the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics with a focus on translating and adapting causal inference methods for use in applied health and social science research. He leads the Alan Turing Institute’s Causal Inference Interest Group and is renowned for his skills as an educator and public speaker.

We collect waste wood from a variety of companies and businesses from firms that have pallets and wood packaging waste, local engineers, theatres, production companies through to private house renovations. We also work with large national building sites: the construction process continually generates so much waste wood, much of which is reusable so keeps our shop stock varied and sustainable. The wood is then brought back to our warehouse, processed and repurposed to sell to the public in our shop. Doing this is very labour-intensive so creates lots of jobs, training and volunteering opportunities, providing local people with new skills and confidence to find work and improve their lives. We aim to be part of the regeneration of our local area and provide a positive impact. While the name Education Training Collective is relatively new to the Further Education sector, the group is far from new. The group’s member colleges have a strong history of providing high quality education, which dates almost 70 years. Founding member Stockton Riverside College was established in Stockton on Tees in 1950 and remained a standalone college until merging with Bede Sixth Form, Billingham, in 2008. (Note: Stockton Riverside College was formerly known as Stockton Billingham Technical College) Following this successful merger, the group opened The Skills Academy in Billingham in 2015, a three-way partnership between the college, Stockton Borough Council and Eggleslciffe School, merged again with NETA Training Group, Stockton, in August 2015 and then most recently with Redcar and Cleveland College in August 2018. In 2019, the group made the further decision to change its name to more accurately reflect the diversity of all of its campuses while still maintaining all of the individual college names – and the Education Training Collective was born.

Thread Republic is an affiliate of Mend Assembly (Totnes, Devon) along with Stitch Department (Ryde, Isle of Wight). Each group takes a local approach, working in our communities to offer alternatives to clothing consumption, use and disposal. Our shared knowledge will enable us to collaborate, explore and implement solutions to address issues of textile waste, lack of basic sewing and mending skills and clothing over-consumption. We are collaborative project bringing together creative practitioners, designer-makers, consultants and workshop leaders with a shared aim to provide goods and services which offer an alternative to the traditional linear lifecycle of our clothing and textiles. We believe in circular solutions. By celebrating the art of making, repair and repurposing we can ensure pieces stay in our lives for longer to be cherished and used frequently. Thread Republic is combining our joint expertise to build a community of like-minded makers, upcyclers, artists, crafters, alteration experts, menders and teachers who want to create and innovate together.
