St Joseph’s School, Wetherby (Early Years class) Our Nursery class love to get involved in whole-school curriculum enrichment activities but First Aid for 3-4 year olds? Skillful teaching, great resources, clear messages and important safety information; empowering our children to feel like mini first aiders. One afternoon, we were enjoying a day out in the sunshine and had stopped to feed our daughter of 7 months, she’s just started solid food and we’d been giving her sliced banana to chew on. On this particular day, she inhaled a small piece and began to choke. I quickly remembered Martin’s words, put her in the proper hold, bottom in the air and one forceful strike between her shoulder blades dislodged the banana and although she was shocked, she was able to breathe again and I can’t tell you how relieved we felt! It may have only been 10 seconds in which she couldn’t breathe but it was terrifying. Had I not had the training from Martin and Mini First Aid, I cannot even begin to imagine how differently the situation could have turned out. In fact, I’d go as far to say that the training I received enabled me to save our daughter’s life.

How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. You have the option to add a classroom-based competency session, awarding a CPD Accredited Geopace Certificate of Competency, at time of booking.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 each) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses.
