Our portable pop up farm and selection of exciting modular bite-sized workshops enables us to visit your school and deliver a focused, hands-on programme of activities that promote the well-being of our communities, our planetary health and our food supply systems. We will explore how our choices and voices can inspire social change.

grange pavilion youth forum

Grange Pavilion is a partnership project between residents’ group Grange Pavilion Project, Grangetown Community Action, Cardiff University and Cardiff Council to redevelop a previously-vacant bowls pavilion into a top quality community facility. This space will provide affordable space-for-hire, a community-focused café offering employment and training opportunities to local young people, outdoor gardening, growing opportunities and much-needed public amenities in a popular inner-city park.Between June 2016 and November 2018, residents tested projects in the old building. In that time, Grange Pavilion brought together more than 3,000 residents, was used by over 100 stakeholders, and launched 150 community-led initiatives in response to community-generated ideas resulting in over 1,000 sessions/activities on site. Projects included the Grange Pavilion Youth Forum, a Girls’ Hub, reading sessions, Friends and Neighbours meetings, NHS Mental Health Peer Support Group, a Creative Tech Café, a community Iftar, a gardening club with a local primary school, ESOL classes, a homework club, adult learners’ week activities and careers and role models’ week.

My name is Sarah and I live in beautiful West Devon with my husband Martyn and our children Joseph and Thea. When Joey was born I had such a brilliant time taking him to all sorts of different classes and watching him flourish, that when I found out about Tots Play I knew it would be perfect for our area, and since Thea has come along we've had lots of fun using all the ideas I share in class at home to keep us busy during lockdown. I love the fact that the programme offers so much variety in every session - where else can you do yoga, massage, sensory play and sign language all in one? As a busy mum I know how important taking your babies to a class in a friendly and relaxed environment is, and Tots Play offers just that. All while helping them learn valuable skills and making memories and friends that last a lifetime. I can't wait to meet you and your little ones at a class soon. My name’s Marion Webber and I’ve been working in the field of Arts in Health and more general participatory arts for over a decade. Studies* have proven the benefits of taking part in creative activities that support our daily lives. I founded Arting Celfio during 2020, to enable Healthcare professionals and artists specialising within Arts and Health to collaborate and provide high-quality, tailor-made, person-centered arts projects. I am a practicing artist based in South Wales, with extensive experience in Participatory Arts Practice. This has given me the privilege to work with diverse participants on many commissions resulting in the installation of artworks in both temporary and permanent exhibitions. My art practice and knowledge inform how I collaborate and co-curate projects with Healthcare professionals and fellow artists within the field of Arts in Health. I have an MA (with Distinction - Arts Practice Arts, Health and Wellbeing) and gained a PGCE PcET Teaching Qualification (Post-16 and Adult Education sectors). I deliver creative workshops, informed by reflective practice and a commitment to continued professional development that connects, and provides meaningful activities that value people’s input and stories. Hi, I’m Angharad and I live in Hull with my husband Paul, our two boys Caden and Colby and dog Phoebe. Since having my sons, I longed for a career change that gave me more time with my family. With being in the hairdressing industry for 19 years I knew what I enjoyed most was working with people. After much research I found Tots Play. Not only had I found a class that appealed to me as a mother with all the variety it offered, but also made me excited at the thought of being able to help parents or carers develop their connection to their child with all the benefits baby massage, yoga, signing, music, movement and sensory play provides. I will also make sure you take away lots of fantastic ideas to carry on the fun times at home. Having my youngest in the first lockdown has shown me how important baby and toddler classes are, not just for little ones but for helping parents bond with their child, as well as building invaluable supportive relationships with others in the same situation. Being a parent can be incredibly challenging and lonely sometimes so finding a class where you can share stories, laugh about the adorable or cringy moments and feel part of a community is irreplaceable. The London Suzuki Group ( LSG ) was founded in 1972 and was the first group in the United Kingdom to teach music by the Suzuki Method. With 60 qualified teachers and over 600 children currently receiving tuition, the LSG runs individual and group classes, orchestral and chamber music courses, workshops and an annual residential summer course at Bryanston School in Dorset. The group offers instruction in violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, recorder and voice. Public and private concerts are regularly organised at venues throughout London and elsewhere, providing much more than the opportunity to learn an instrument. Children and parents form lasting friendships. Parents and teachers are able to share experience and ideas. Music, and the love of music, becomes a natural part of the life of the whole family. Talent is not a prerequisite The Suzuki approach stimulates and develops musical abilities inherent in all children. Despite its sustained record of success exemplified in the many distinctions won by LSG students in music examinations, competitions and scholarships to major schools and conservatoires, the LSG’s overriding achievement is the provision of joy through music making, and the enrichment of the lives of the families involved in the learning process.
