Our creative space in our purposefully designed studios in Golborne nr Warrington offers Pottery classes, Art/ Crafts Workshops and Mindfulness sessions ( Pottery and creativity for Health and well-being ) plus Alternative Ceramic Firing such as Raku and saggar firing. We also provide fully equipped studio space for supported sessions. This enables those with previous handbuilding experiece to work independently on their own projects with a technician/ teacher on hand for  technical / glazing advice / support.  Our studio can be hired for running your own ceramics / Art/  Craft Workshops. We can also arrange private individual/ group bookings.  The purposefully designed space is comfortable and welcoming and warm, with a nurturing and creative atmosphere.   With easy access from the M6, M62, M58 and M56 motorway networks. approx 20 miles from Manchester and Liverpool.  WE ARE DELIGHTED THAT PART OF OUR NEW PREMISES ARE FULLY ACCESSIBLE, OFFERING  EASY ACCESS AND DISABLED TOILET FACILITIES. The Potteries - Pottery & Wellness Studio Welcome to the magical & creative pottery painting experience available at The Potteries. We are based in a quant seaside town of Hornsea, East Yorkshire in a Retail Outlet village that was home to Hornsea Pottery. Just opening our doors on 28th October 2023, we aim to offer a fusion of creativity, fun and mindfulness through pottery painting, workshops, courses & parties. Choose from over 120 different bisque pottery with the main themes being * Seasonal (Christmas, Valentines, Mothers Day, Easter, Fathers Day, Seaside, Halloween), * Fantasy & magic, * Animal kingdom, * Home & Garden and * Kitchenalia    Prices start from as little as £10 and includes 2 hours, equipment, paints, glazing and firing.   Please allow 7-14 days for the glazing and firing to be completed.  An additional 7 days may be required during busy periods. Hi I'm Lisa and I live in the middle of the Test Valley in Hampshire, with my husband, two children, my dog Inca and cat Ebury. After having my son George in 2015 and moving from a city to a village, I decided to put my career in the corporate world on hold and spend time at home being a mummy. This life style change enabled me to explore my creative side. I loved living in a village and joined one of the local village WI groups and their craft club. I also took a number of workshops including blind making and cake decorating. However my love of jewellery, magpie tendencies and previous experience with bead work, soon lead me to the magic of Silver Clay. Once I found Silver Clay I was hooked! My ability and design ideas soon had my teacher suggesting I start a small business. This is how Country Designs by Lisa was born in 2017. All my work is inspired by the country side and nature around me. I love nothing more than going foraging on a dog walk or when out and about with my children and often come back with pockets filled with more items collected on walks than my children! . I love to learn and am continuing to update my skills and over the last few years I have added traditional silversmith techniques to my work. I have also passed my Level 1 and Level 2 Art Clay certificates and i'm currently working towards my Level 3. Gaining Level 1 & 2 enables me to teach under the Art Clay banner, this was very important for me to pass before I started to teach as it gives me the knowledge and skills to teach my students correctly. Most of my range, except some smaller items, are fully hallmarked by the London Assay Office. This is a 700 year old tradition that gives buyers the assurance they are buying a quality item which has been fully tested by the Assay Office. Many years ago, Keith was driving home when a very drunk driver travelling down the wrong side of the road smashed into Keith's car.
