Old Hanging Wood is situated between Little Chalfont and Chorleywood in rural Buckinghamshire countryside close to the historic Chenies Manor visited by both Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. The woodland is over 16 acres and is designated by Natural England as Ancient Replanted Woodland. This is an indication of woodland origins dating to before 1600 AD. Old Hanging Wood is a family owned company, with the sole purpose of providing a facility and activities for the local community. The Feasey Family live close by to the Woodland and have always enjoyed walks through green spaces, learning about the vast range of trees and wildlife. Therefore, we wanted to give back to the community and run a not-for-profit organisation utilising our woodland to provide others with the opportunity to explore and learn the natures of a Woodland.

Haggs Castle boasts one of the finest layouts in the West of Scotland and is set in the magnificent parkland of Pollok Country Park. Our course is always presented in immaculate condition due to the hard work of our Greens Team which is led by Course Manager, Scott Ballantyne. The tree lined fairways of our course provide a wonderful contrast to the nearby, bustling City Centre and is a perfect place to get away from it all and relax. At 6,426 yards from the back tees, the course is enjoyable for all and a challenge for the best! To score well you’ll have to plot your way around, stay on the short grass and find the fairways from the tee. Haggs Castle Golf Club has history and traditions dating back more than one hundred years. We’ve hosted four European Tour events with famous winners: Bernhard Langer, Ken Brown, Howard Clark and David Feherty. Annually, we host the Cameron Corbett Vase, a world ranking and Order of Merit amateur event. In March of 2016 and 2018 we had the pleasure of hosting the EuroPro Tour Q School. Off the course, we have a well-appointed clubhouse and a great team waiting to serve you. Our Clubhouse Manager, Tracey Morgan and her team will look after you before and after your round and why not treat yourself to a tasty meal from our extensive menu. All prepared fresh and daily by our Head Chef, Scott McCluskey.

Improving mental health in the Scottish Borders through caring, creativity & collaboration.At Birkhill House CIC is a newly established animal assisted activity/therapy venture in the Scottish Borders, which will also offer an array of modern and traditional crafting opportunities. The focus at Birkhill House is on wellness and mindfulness – taking a moment out to be compassionate and nurture the creative side in all of us. Where possible, funds generated from workshops will subsidise therapy activities for those who need it most, very much in keeping with a community interest model. Set on nine acres of beautiful land about 30 miles south of Edinburgh city centre, the workshops take place in newly renovated stables dating back to the early 1800s. With a rich farming and equine history, the property is now a busy small-holding, whose residents include Huacaya alpacas, Castlemilk Moorit sheep, pygmy & Golden Guernsey goats, a breeding cattery for beautiful domestic Ragdoll cats, a gaggle of small dogs, a plethora of hens and a friendly pair of peacocks.

Malden Parochial Church of England Primary School is a popular and successful one form entry school (currently two forms in Year 5 and Year 6) for children aged 3 to 11 years, within in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It is one of the Church Schools within the Diocese of Southwark and there are good links with St John’s, our local church. References to Malden Parochial can be found dating back to 1835, when children were taught in a cottage in Church Road. In 1864, a Victorian building was opened with 47 children on roll. This has since been demolished and our Nursery is now on this site. Over the years there have been many additions to our school building, creating a spacious, well resourced and pleasant environment for all the children currently attending the school. Our pupils are well supported in their learning through excellent teaching and a wide variety of extra curricular and off site activities. We are very proud of both our academic achievements and the individual contributions each of our pupils make to our school.

The Feminist Library is a large archive collection of feminist literature, particularly Women’s Liberation Movement materials dating from the late 1960s to the 1990s. We support research, activist and community projects in this field. The Library is also an autonomous feminist community space. The Library is trans-inclusive, welcomes visitors of any gender, does not require registration or membership, and provides an intersectional, non-sectarian space for the exploration of feminism. Swing Dancing is a term used for a collection of vintage dances dating from the 1920s/30s/40s which are danced to Swing music. The dances frequently included under this banner are: – The Lindy Hop – Charleston – Jazz – Balboa – Collegiate Shag Each with different origins, these dances found an equal meaning to the music of some of the greatest bands and singers of the early 20th Century including Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Chick Webb, Duke Ellington and many, many more. After a period of obscurity lasting several decades, a resurgence in Swing Dancing began in the 1980s and has continued to grow in popularity ever since. These highly musical and energetic dances continue to bring joy to many people on the dancefloor and never fail to get the feet of spectactors tapping. What do we do? SwingOut Manchester is an organisation which aims to encourage people to join the fun-filled, energetic and friendly world of Swing Dancing. Launched in 2017, SwingOut Manchester is on a mission to bring the Lindy Hop, Charleston and more to the city of Manchester.
