We are proud to offer expert tuition in a wide range of dance and musical
theatre disciplines for students from 3 years to adults. Classes are held in our
purpose designed studios in the centre of Market Harborough. Founded in 1995 by
professional dancer and choreographer, Linda Greene, Harborough Academy of
Performing Arts offers excellence in dance and theatre training, by a team of
teachers who are highly qualified, passionate about the art of dance and are
experts in their field. Harborough Academy is renowned for the high standards
achieved, which are evident in the success of former students who have gone on
to perform professionally, excellent results from exams with the Royal Academy
of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, and the very popular annual
show which takes place at the Lighthouse Theatre each March. Whether our
students aspire to a professional career performing or teaching, or simply enjoy
dance as an exciting and fulfilling hobby, parents can be assured in the
knowledge that their training is in the hands of qualified experts. The skills
they develop at Harborough Academy are not solely for the stage, but they learn
valuable life lessons including: Self-confidence, expression, team work,
discipline and focus, independence, physical strength, agility and coordination.
