We believe his call for a creative education is as relevant and urgent today as it ever was. SPAEDA, Somerset Partnership Art Education Agency, has a unique role in helping children and young people connect to the world around them, encouraging them to take a positive role in their communities and to be curious and adventurous. We believe that putting the arts and creativity at the heart of education supports the wellbeing of staff and pupils and provides space for rich learning experiences. We act to maximise children and young people's engagement with arts and culture, reducing barriers to participation and building confidence and skills in arts leaders. Spaeda takes pride in its highly knowledgeable and skilled team of staff and trustees. We work closely with our board of trustees, artists and associates to increase access for children and young people to arts and culture.

We covered so much in such a short space of time from branding, product ideas and pricing structure to social media strategy and also drank a lot of coffee! It really is hard not to feel inspired in Maggie's company. We are ‘The Everybody School of Art’, a place where the opportunity to experience the benefits of art and understand its value is available to all, regardless of age, ability, background, or circumstance. We champion art and creativity in everyday life and think that opportunity and engagement with art can make things better for everyone. Our time, space and resources are dedicated to supporting artistic development and community imagination, as such we are home to a thriving creative community where everyone is welcome. Our work takes place at our venue, a grade II listed textile mill in Halifax. Here you will find our art school with extensive creative production facilities and equipment, our gallery where creative practices and processes are shared and showcased as well as our artist studios, where 20 artists and creative practitioners make their work. Our work also takes place out in the community at schools and community venues, online and in peoples homes. Artworks is a community interest company so we don't work for profit. The income we generate is used to support the communities we are established to serve. Thanks to our funding partners and supporters we are able to make many of our activities free. Where we don’t receive any subsidy we make sure that access is affordable while always paying artists a fair rate.

About Bright I's Lead Consultant and Director Bright I's is about the professional development of teaching methods in Literacy that are driven by creativity in classroom approach that ensures progress and impact. Bright I's is the brainchild of Kala Williams, a leading practitioner who has taught in Coventry's secondary and primary schools for over 15 years both as a tutor and a qualified teacher. Having identified her area of specialism as Reading in Literacy particularly in KS2 practice, Kala has conceptualised a consultancy that is about practice through active lesson modeling, staff support and training as well as on the ground lesson delivery and coaching. She has successfully driven progress and attainment in all schools taught with her unique and systematic classroom approach that keeps pupils hooked, engaged and driven by high aspirations. She has taught across both Key Stages with particular expertise in Year 6 and Year 5. Despite being a new primary consultant, her passion for literacy has seen rapid growth in the first year of Bright I's conception. To date, she has trained over 100 teachers across the West Midlands, coached over 30 teachers one to one, delivered group reading intervention to over 150 children (KS1 and KS2) and has currently written a book on reading teaching due for publishing by 2021 with Bloomsbury Education.

This is where Nutrition Science meets creativity. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Medicine, a background in education, a creative flare and a strong desire to motivate human connection. These I blend in order to offer sound nutritional knowledge and motivation to push forward with healthy living and being. I offer a variety of nutrition based services including 1-1 consultations, Functional Medicine testing, health workshops, 'Cleanse' courses, lectures, menu creation, product reviews and articles on nutrition, food and lifestyle. I also work as a 1-1 nutritionist for the wonderful company’ Health Path’. There is a common aim - to inspire better mental and physical health in whatever way this is best achieved. Located in West Sussex, I work in London, Brighton and surrounding areas. My days are spent nourishing, advising, educating and supporting clients on obtaining healthier and happier lifestyles. Annually, I take clients abroad to ‘cleanse’ body and soul. One of my cleanse locations is Gozo, a rustic island off Malta. This is the perfect location for taking time out in a supported and empowering environment. In 2022, I worked with the Wild View Retreat team in Portugal on a juice fast week of health rejuvenation. It was wonderful. I am thrilled to be joining them again for 4 weeks of cleansing in 2023.

Leona Creator of Artists Resource & Lead Facilitator Leona created Artists Resource in 2011 with the Mission “To bring people together, to nurture Creativity and facilitate Transformation – for the benefit of the individual and the community.” She started with one small Art club in North London and in just a couple of years had grown to teaching in Schools every day and hosting Art Parties and Classes at the weekend. In 2018-19, Leona has provided Art workshops for the England football team and BAFTA. Leona has a strong background in material processes and techniques, having a degree in Applied Arts and applying that throughout her career. Prior to setting up Artists Resource, Leona worked for a Art & Craft company, managing concession stands in Harrods, Hamleys and UK Trade Fairs and made Mosaic Murals for School Playgrounds with a local Artist. She also worked on the Art Dept for various independent short and feature films. Leona has specialised in Sculpture and Mosaic Art has her own Public Artworks in Mile End (E3), Muswell Hill (N10) and in various public and private sites in London.
