Connectforce Community CIC is a social enterprise building connection, creativity & confidence within marginalised communities through collaboration with our network of artists. Why artists? Artists and performers are trained communicators, brimming with empathy and openness, and Connectforce is passionate about providing an accessible outlet for these skills to have a positive impact on wider society. With a network of over 100 artists, we work with communities to build programmes that best suit their needs. Through one-on-ones, mentoring and group workshops, we bring together artists with people of all ages who would benefit from support. Our story Connectforce was established in May 2020 as a COVID-19 emergency response, seeking to combat the isolation and growing disconnect for UK care home residents. Initially set out to provide the means with which these residents could communicate with their loved ones: donating electronic devices to over 165 of the most critically in-need care homes across the country. Since then, the national and global situation has developed, and Connectforce has grown and adapted; recognising the importance of going much further than the donation of physical resources to get to the root of the profound problem of social isolation within the communities that we work in.

Exhibitions... The Art of Grieving exhibitions enable artists working in any medium to share work related to this issue. This coming together of artist and audience generates new and important human connections around a shared desire to explore the subject of grief and loss. Workshops... The Art of Grieving workshops offer the opportunity to come to a supportive environment to learn new art techniques and create a piece of work either in memory of a loved one, or in contemplation of a loss. The first workshops were held in September/October 2018 and proved to be a great success. Sadly, Covid-19 prevented the workshops planned for Autumn 2020 from going ahead. Shared creativity... The sharing of artwork with an audience can be a valuable part of the bereavement process and encourages communication with those impacted by their work. However, the Art of Grieving is not just for artists. The aim of our exhibitions and workshops is to spark conversation and encourage openness; we hope those who attend will reflect on the creative works and be empowered to speak to others about their thoughts and experiences.

HomeAbout What happens when you pit a lifelong procrastinator against the biggest test of his life? Trouble. I’m Miles, a recent graduate from the MOT program at the University of Utah. Being a podcast junkie myself, when I was studying for the NBCOT exam I wished there had been a podcast to help me make some progress when I was driving, at the gym, or just not feeling like banging my head against a computer screen. My goal with the podcast is to make the journey I had to take a little easier for other aspiring occupational therapists. Person I’m a huge nerd with a passion for basketball, sushi and OT. I’m always on the hunt for a good Netflix recommendations. My path to OT was a little strange. I worked in tech support during my undergrad and graduated in advertising, but not before taking the pre-reqs for OT school. I love the combination of creativity and purpose in our profession and consider myself lucky to have stumbled across it before I joined the ranks of [insert PT joke here]. Environment I was born and raised in Minnesota, lived in Japan for two years and am currently looking forward to having an actual income for Utah’s next ski season. Occupation I’m currently working at an inpatient acute rehab hospital and loving it. __________________ . __________________ That’s the gist of it. You do not need to be experienced to come to our classes as we will guide you every step of the way.  Most workshops are designed for beginners and where more experience is required, the workshops are indicated by levels: * Level 1: beginner * Level 2: intermediate * Level 3: advance Our main aim is to encourage creativity, promote confidence and definitely have fun in a relaxed environment in which to learn new skills.  We run short 2.5 hours course in Bracknell, Berkshire.  Your tutor, Anne is an experienced, fun and enthusiastic. This is our 6th year running our workshops and we love it! Each year we try to offer different workshop themes. This year is no exception!   All equipment and materials required for our classes are provided on the day. We try to keep our group small, to give you as much space as possible, this also allows us to be able to help you should you need it.

TFS leads the way on customer satisfaction, reliability and creativity and has demonstrated a significant return on investment to our clients since incorporation in 1997. Supporting organisations to minimise corporate threats engages with three key aspects: Education, Legal certainty and added value.
