We provide a safe place for young people in the district to come for recreational activities, computer access, fitness, education, counselling and advice from trained professionals. We also provide an affordable venue for local groups and residents from the district to hire for fitness and social activities. In June 2013, Wokingham Borough Council announced that all but two of their youth centres and clubs would have to close due to budget cuts. On July 2nd 2013 concerned residents and users of the centre came together to form the Twyford Youth Centre Steering Group which nominated seven trustees who, with the support of Wokingham Borough Council, established a new charitable incorporated organisation (CIO) called Twyford District Youth and Community Centre. This was formed in January 2014. Registered charity number: 1155243. The charity has an 'association model' constitution which means that anyone interesting in furthering the charity's purposes can apply to become a member, giving them voting rights at general meetings and at the AGM - to be held annually in November.

Seasons for Growth provides the opportunity for each participant to integrate the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to understand and cope with loss and grief. This takes place in a like-to-like peer support setting. It is not counselling or therapy. This is an early intervention peer support education programme particularly suited to addressing variety of emotional and behavioural issues and reducing the amount of children and young people who require specialist help

My Personal Story I was born in East London, England in 1963. I live in Buckinghamshire England, working with clients globally. I am the proud mother of two adult children and four grandchildren. I grew up in a family who endured and suffered poor mental health, narcissistic abuse, and addiction issues. As a child and young adult, I battled with chronic depression, fear, and anxiety. In my 20’s I went into long term personal psychotherapy and group therapy. This was the catalyst for me in becoming a therapist. Though personal development, increased self-awareness, and behavioural change I was able to turn my life around and began to live a healthier and more fulfilling life. This personal work gave me the desire and passion to help others face their fears and abuse issues while healing and developing self-awareness. Lisa Sayers is a CNHC and BANT registered BSc nutritional therapist, nutrigenetics counsellor, ACSM certified exercise physiologist/health fitness specialist, sports massage therapist, Stott Pilates instructor, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner, CHEK practitioner, former qualified general nurse and venepuncturist working as a personal trainer and nutritional therapist in Henley-on-Thames, Reading, Marlow (Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire). Lisa qualified as a nurse in 1988, began working in the fitness and health industry in 2003 and has been running her own successful practice since 2005. She regularly teaches in a number of locations including Drummond physiotherapy clinic and Drummond Education, and has published several articles for them and other local health related practices. Lisa now operates from her own air conditioned and well equipped studio and consulting room in Henley-on-Thames where there is private parking available. Lisa’s unique skill sets allow her to take a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to help clients with all types of needs move towards their health and fitness goals. Clients vary from teenagers to the elderly, and range from the able bodied seeking to improve an aspect of their well-being to those suffering from disease, metabolic disorders or in recovery from injury or surgery.
