I wish you a very warm welcome to our website. I am a practising teacher who has over 20 years experience in the secondary education sector, my specialist subject being science. Currently, I hold the position of Deputy Headteacher in an 11-16 secondary school with responsibility for curriculum development. Since being a senior leader, I have gained significant experience in leading whole school professional development and the quality assurance of the quality of education. I have been awarded a distinction in a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and in doing so have carried out research relating to curriculum and social justice. I strongly believe in: Creating an engaging, challenging curriculum which allows all children to flourish and achieve their potential. Providing high quality professional development which allows staff to improve performance in the classroom. An education system that empowers learners and promotes social justice. Sun Bear Yoga has a key focus on making yoga fun and accessible to all. In this funny old time we believe it's super important to take extra care of our kids and their families' emotional and physical health. Sun Bear Yoga combines yoga, play, fun, dance, drama, music, acro, storytelling, relaxation and mindfulness to nurture positive wellbeing and encourage community support and socialisation (team work- yay). Why is yoga good for kids? It improves concentration and co-ordination, develops body awareness, calms the racing mind and boosts self-esteem and inner confidence. Our mission is to create a space for some much needed time out, fun without distraction, giggles and to provide the opportunity for an emotional reset. We want to give kids and their families the tools to cope better with the daily stressors that come with modern family life. We believe in equality, inclusivity, tolerance, compassion and respect and these values form the foundations of our classes. All of our classes are completely secular and there will be no focus on religion. EVERYONE is welcome. We believe in spreading love and happiness to all. Kindness is our superpower! We offer classes for children 0-16y during term time and we run family yoga events out of term time. Right now our classes go up to 12y but as of September they will be available for 13-16y and we will also have dedicated classes for children with certain additional needs in Autumn 2021.

I’m Sarah, founder and teacher at CRAFT. I opened CRAFT in February 2020, it’s been a dream for sometime to have a space to be able to teach a subject I love so much. I started sewing as a young girl, sewing together scraps of fabric from my mums fabric box, altering clothes and creating new ones. I’ve always been something I have always enjoyed. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Education in 2009. After graduating I took up a teaching post in a secondary school, specialising in textiles and food technology. After having my first child in 2012 I decided not to return to the classroom and started a business making and selling children’s wear from home. When my second daughter arrived in 2016 I decided to start teaching again. I taught in the workshop room at the back of Annie’s fabric shop most weekends. Workshops became popular and from that CRAFT was born. I wanted to create a space that could be used to teach sewing workshops but also could work with other creative areas. I hope that when people visit CRAFT they feel relaxed and enjoy spending time in the workshop space. I really love teaching here. I love sharing my knowledge, my top tips and my expertise. My aim is to give my students confidence and to share my love and passion of sewing. I want everyone to leave feeling excited to start their next sewing project .

The College of International Education (CIE), located in the heart of Oxford, has been offering a range of short courses in English as a Foreign Language (EFL), exam preparation, 1-1 tutorials and a range of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) courses on a number of subjects since 1974. Fitness and wellbeing to me is not only an occupation; it’s a huge part of my lifestyle and one of my biggest passions. At 23 years old, I retired from the world of dance after qualifying at world class competition level. From then, I moved into the fitness industry and qualified as an Aerobics instructor, taking classes with up to 100 participants. During that time, I qualified with the YMCA and the RSA (Royal Society of Arts). As well as Aerobics, I have taught a large selection of group classes including Step, Pilates, Yoga, Circuit Training, Boxercise and Kettle Bells to name a few. I have a wealth of experience in the fitness industry and have worked with people from all walks of life to help them achieve their desired goals. Originally from Glasgow, I moved to London and lived there for over 20 years. In London I worked as a Personal Trainer as well as a health and confidence coach and clinical hypnotherapist and trained/coached clients on a one-to-one basis from the comfort of their own home. In 2019, I finally moved back to Glasgow so I could spend more quality time with my loved ones. I am a friendly, courteous and straightforward man who is extremely passionate about helping people live a happier life. As well as seeing the best in people, I have a strong desire to see others succeed.
