Knowledge is a great thing to share! We are on a mission to help all heating engineers be better at what they do today and get ready for the future. As our co-founder and heating legend Kimbo once said "there seems to be a massive gap between the 'university degree' with theoretical maths needing awesome formulas and Part 3 of a plumbers certificate. My aim is to close that gap and make core knowledge accessible for all."  What is Hydronics? Hydronics is about knowing the best way to get the right amount of hot water at the right temperature to the right place at the right time in a domestic environment, regardless of the heat source. When you get it right, it means more efficient systems, fewer call backs and happy customers. What's more, if you know hydronics, retrofitting heat pumps is a breeze and can be quoted with confidence once flow, pipe sizing, pump sizing & rad sizing are understood.  We speak in plain English, using the most basic of units and school maths to deliver the principles and examples of how it all works. We love seeing the ‘light-bulb’ moment when it all ‘clicks into place’ for yet another attendee and there have been over 2000 to date. My background, working with teens and young adults, began with 10 years in youth recruitment, helping over 650 youngsters get their first job and start on the career ladder After that, I moved into training, facilitating employability and key life skills qualifications to give school leavers the confidence to step into the world of work. My role also involved delivering sessions to secondary school students on career-based topics, where the idea of creating The Future Toolbox was born. Outside of The Future Toolbox, I’m a keen runner (completing numerous half marathons and marathons), love writing (you have to being an author), a budding artist and a seasoned traveller. I’m passionate about helping to inspire young people to gain the life skills they need to become their best ever selves, it’s so rewarding.

Hi there - I'm Paul Green, the founder of The Business Community. I've been an independent business owner since 2003 and love working with small businesses; in particular family-run businesses. I'd like to share a little story about the reason for this and what my "why" is. What drives me My father ran his own small business designing, manufacturing and supplying electrical control panels to various companies within the UK and overseas. At the age of 11, unfortunately, the business went bust - as happens to quite a few businesses. This meant having to move house, move schools - money was tight and the atmosphere was not that great in the household. Having gone through this experience, it obviously left an impression. A few years ago, I attended a workshop (run by Jacky Sherman) looking at why a person is in business and exploring the type of businesses that I enjoyed working with. In this session, the seed that was subconsciously planted many years before emerged. It became apparent that what was driving me in my endeavours to support small, family-run businesses, is that I didn't want any children associated with the business owners to go through the trauma of a failed business! This is why I strive to impact the performance of the businesses I work with; having them be better at what they do - focusing on profitability and cashflow within the business. My journey My experience and knowledge of 20 years being employed by someone else and to date, working with 100s of business owners, gives me the confidence and ability to offer business advice, coaching and training when given the opportunity to do so. Having experienced the trials and tribulations that face a small business on that entrepreneurial journey, I am passionate about making sure businesses don't make the same mistakes that I made en route! I am a big believer in collaboration and encourage businesses to work together to grow their businesses; as well as offering help and support to each other for mutual gain. In 2020, my story culminated in the creation of The Business Community. This brings together my principles of businesses working together. My name is Judith Pennington and I started swimming with my two children, Gabriella and Ruben when they were babies. It was during this time that I decided to have a career change and trained to become a Waterbabies instructor in March 2007. Judoth Knowing how important it is to be confident and happy in the water and learning to swim at a young age, I soon found out there was a gap in the market for swimming lessons ‘with a difference’ for 2 year olds and above. After having many requests from friends to teach their children, I decided to set up my own small swim school in October 2007. Requests continued, and when my daughter finished with Waterbabies, being able to swim over 10m confidently, and started school, I decided to expand my swim school to include school age children and the Jump In and Swim School was born.
