Operating since early 2019, Tutor2Trust is a friendly tutoring service based in Sevenoaks, Kent. Our aim is to break down anxieties in order to boost the student's confidence in his/herself and increase self-esteem in his/her abilities. The end goal is to achieve a positive impact on school grades and exam results. We take students from Sevenoaks and surrounding areas, such as Westerham, Borough Green, Knockholt and Hildenborough, as well as the rest of the UK, and offer tuition to students from EYFS through to A-Level. We also provide tuition to those who are retaking their exams and Adult Learners. Tutoring is on a pay-as-you-go basis, and we are happy to offer both weekday and weekend timeslots. No block bookings required. We offer both online and face-to-face tuition in your own home and are happy to have a preliminary chat on the phone or Facetime/Zoom about your needs.

Family Mindful Photography Workshops are an inclusive photography project to enable parents and their children with little or no experience of photography to start their own artistic practice while building their confidence. Using the participants’ own cameras (this includes a smartphone camera), this project aims to introduce children to the art of photography. “I got in contact with Pierre recently to devise and deliver ‘Family Mindful Photography Workshops’ at Autograph Gallery. The workshops exceeded expectation with the level of thought and attention to detail in planning, as well as Pierre’s putting families at ease that were new to the Gallery and partaking in photography. Everyone- parents and children- left high praise in their feedback from the activities, they were extremely happy with the activities and with the way Pierre engaged with them throughout. We could include a wealth of clichés so often used when describing a nursery/pre-school setting. However, we have chosen to buck the system somewhat by effectively saying it ‘as it is’ and trying to give you an actual snapshot of a typical day at All Kids. We have been told that the most sustainable settings are those with a strong identity such as the ‘forest school’, the ‘bilingual nursery’ or the ‘eco-friendly’ establishment. Rightly or wrongly we don’t really fit neatly into any of these categories as we really do a bit of everything! None of us really know where all the children will end up, what their likes and dislikes will be or what strengths and passions they will adopt. Who are we to try and impose these on them? We believe our responsibility is to offer as many opportunities as possible so all children can have fun, develop strong relationships, grow in confidence and effectively ‘find their place’, whatever that may be.

Shalamar Children’s Homes – Isola, Cairn, and shortly Glebeland – are based in family-sized houses around rural Essex. We are residential children’s homes with a therapeutic approach. Our aim is to resolve issues in young people and not to merely contain them. We achieve this by using attachment-based care and to look for the communication behind any behaviour. We believe behaviour is a form of communication. We would look for the meaning behind all negative behaviour in the young people within our care. From this, we work with our young people helping them to not only to control their negative behaviours, but also attempting to work through the issues which are the cause of these behaviours. Shalamar carers use Dan Hughes’ PACE method to gain a positive attachment with the young people within our care. PACE stands for Playfulness – Acceptance – Curiosity – Empathy. Given time, we aim to create a stable, secure base and safe haven for all young people staying at Shalamar, allowing the space and the confidence to heal and develop. At Shalamar, there are daily community meetings where young people have the opportunity to voice any issues they have with their care, or state how it can be improved. This space allows for the young people to feel listened to, raising their confidence, self-esteem and making them feel valued and cared for. Shalamar’s work looks to change the negative way that young people view themselves and the adults around them. Through attachment-based nurture we restore their self-belief and provide positive experiences with adults who care. We understand that many children who display challenging behaviour have had trauma at some point in their life. This usually manifests itself in emotional developmental delay. Therefore we treat the child at their developmental/emotional age, rather than strict biological age. This creates a realistic and settled environment for the young person who can succeed and receive praise for their work and efforts. We also provide a psychodynamic behavioural approach, which is worked alongside the attachment framework, where we bring the subconscious to the conscious. This allows the young people to understand why they are feeling and acting the way they are and is the first step to taking control of their actions.

Dulwich Riding School is approved by the Association of British Riding Schools and has recently been awarded a five star Health and Safety approval from our local Council, Dulwich Riding School was founded in 1961 by Mr James Thomas Bellman, himself an expert horseman and instructor who spent a lifetime with horses and riders. The late Mr Bellman passed on his knowledge and riding school to his daughter Linda Gray who has sadly now passed away too, she has passed the Riding School onto Jaye Montebello, her daughter, the current Manager and Proprietor. Jaye was the Manageress (now proprietor) and is still hands on along with other family members who are still running the stables, also part of the Bellman family. Ellie is part of the family who currently rides and instructs at our London riding school. Lynne is our Health and Safety Manager (she shouts the loudest) and Amelyne and Ishka have been with us on and off for years, `University and Equine College being their breaks, we specialise in nervous and novice riders and are brilliant with building confidence. OJ also part of the Bellman family is currently a Junior Instructor, Ellie and Jaye our instructors specialising in working with Advanced riders and Jumping Lessons. Bonnie, Alice, Lydia, Melissa, Neveah and Natasha are Junior Instuctors and are especially good with children and parties, they are voluntary although been with us for years, however, a couple of them will be full staff from September, watch this space. NO one instructor can be booked for a lesson due to rotas and schedules although we will do out best to accommodate where possible. Our staff, volunteers, working pupils and family give their time helping Dulwich Riding School flourish and maintain the standards Mr J. T. Bellman set. Lots of our team are volunteers, they are a strong a valuable part of our team and without them we could not maintain the standards and level of professional care to all our Riders and Horses at Dulwich Riding School. WHAT DRIVES US Passion and determination to uphold Dulwich Riding School's reputation and high standards that Mr Bellman attained. Each instructor feels very proud when a client passes an exam, or completes a successful course or just generally leaves the stables feeling a sense of achievement or just having lots of fun. The ultimate drive is to be part of 17 wonderful horses and ponies' lives, building bonds and being priviledged to do a job that we enjoy. Meeting new people, talking with old friends and generally networking within our industry. HORSES Currently 17 at present working horses, mostly stabled although all horses have access to our onsite small turnout paddock, and access to full turnout in Kent, park rides, pony camps and further turnout located off site for rotation and requirement.
