We developed this Webinar Series because we feel there is a paucity of anaesthetic & ICU teaching in the foundation curriculum. Junior doctors often have to assess and refer critically unwell patients to ICU and/or emergency surgery out of hours with little senior support. In addition, many junior doctors are unaware of their patients’ journey after they are taken to the ICU. This series of webinars will enable junior doctors and medical students to develop this understanding and build their skills and confidence surrounding anaesthesia & intensive care. These webinars will also be an excellent introduction to the specialty for those considering a career in Anaesthetics / Critical Care. The webinars are free to attend, and each attendee will receive a certificate of attendance on completion of feedback for the lecturer.

Motivating Medics is a not-for-profit organisation, targeting young people of lower socioeconomic backgrounds - with great emphasis in and around London, UK. Many of our youth aspire to study medicine but face drawbacks in their social and educational environments. Marginalisation, feeling under-inspired and a lack of good role models are just a few of the causative factors. The aim is to motivate, inspire and educate – helping them realise that with hard work, a career in medicine/surgery is not out of reach. Ultimately, pushing these pupils in the right direction in order to increase their confidence, maximise their performance, and help them reach their study goals. Through workshops, mentoring and school talks, the objective is to bridge the gap, and help widen access into medical school.

What do we teach at The Pole Studio? BEGINNER 1 POLE FITNESS The aim of our Beginners classes is to build your confidence on and around the pole. BEGINNER 2 POLE FITNESS You will be introduced to the first steps of inverting (going upside down) and conditioning techniques. INTERMEDIATE POLE FITNESS At this level, you will be learning more challenging moves, spins, inverts, holds and combinations. ADVANCED POLE FITNESS Our Advanced classes incorporate harder tricks, inverts, spins, holds and combinations. ELITE POLE FITNESS Our Elite levels are designed for the hardcore poler with a very high level of fitness, strength and endurance. FLEXIBILITY AND CONDITIONING This class has been specifically designed to help our students improve their flexibility. ROUTINE CLASSES This class is for students of all levels who want to explore dancing and build a routine into their Pole Fitness classes. CHOREOGRAPY These classes are for those who want to work on a routine but need an outside eye or have an idea but don’t know how to start. PRIVATE SESSIONS The Pole Studio offers private lessons for 121’s or small groups, great for those who want to learn at their own pace. POLE PARTIES Hen do? 40th? 30th? 50th? anniversary, 21st birthday? Thank goodness it’s Friday pole parties are available. PRACTICE SESSIONS Practice sessions are available at our Basingstoke, Dorking and Surbiton Pole Studios. For £10 an hour you will get a pole on your own to practice and perfect moves you have been learning within your lessons. From learning to navigate healthy friendships whilst building their confidence and resilience, to better managing feelings of anxiety - no matter the situation - or really exploring who they are and what they want out of their life. Many of my clients embrace the fact that I'm an adult who doesn't exist in their physical lives and so this enables them to be really open and honest about their thoughts and feelings. Developing a growth mindset alongside invaluable life skills such as understanding emotions, self-expression and effective communication sets them up for a fulfilled and successful future.

We provide quality training in singing, dance and drama for children aged 4 – 18 years, in an environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential.
