Our mission at Diamond Sportz is to give children and adults a chance to access high-level martial arts and sports. Children's first sporting experience is so important as it can influence them to go on to better things if taught properly. This is done through upskilling teachers, instructors and sports coaches in how to deliver high-quality PE and martial arts lessons. I am a qualified school teacher my specialist subject is physical education (PE) I'm also a martial arts instructor and I started training in Taekwondo in 1986 at Panther Taekwondo, I gained my black belt in 1990 and wanted a new challenge, so I started going on different coaching courses to increase my coaching knowledge. While studying for my teaching degree I joined an organisation called Teachsport. With Teachsport, I went on to develop a school's martial arts program which involves going into primary schools and teaching children taekwondo and fitness. Once I graduated from University, I decided to introduce martial arts as a PE option to our Teachsport programme to help children with their coordination and confidence. We now run numerous after- school clubs throughout London and the south east, covering a range of different sports. I have recently gained the status of vice president at Panther Taekwondo and Song Moo Kwan England my duties include safeguarding and wellbeing of students and instructors. I now work in schools in Haringey, Lewisham and Redbridge teaching PE and supporting teachers in how to deliver good to outstanding PE.

We have always been passionate about helping others and, during the pandemic, we saw the anxieties of parents trying to keep up with, and understand, their child’s learning. We could see what parents really wanted was support and guidance and we started to think how we could offer this through ‘Tutor Your Child’. We decided to put together a programme which will help and guide families through each school year for maths and English, nurture confidence and mental health as well as try and support any additional needs. ‘Tutor Your Child’ is an online subscription service for parents of children Reception to Year 6, to help with maths and/or English. Each week, parents receive a short video showing them what to teach and how to teach it, with supporting activities. By the end of the academic year, parents will have covered the skills within the curriculum with their child in small, manageable steps and been part of their child’s learning journey. There will be assessment opportunities along the way so they can keep track of their child’s progress. We are passionate about children’s mental health so ‘Tutor Your Child’ includes helpful advice through regular blog articles and access to our ‘Wellbeing Zone’; offering guidance for supporting children’s self-esteem and developing a positive attitude to themselves and others. We have been friends for many years with Maryanne having considerable expertise as a SENCO and Deputy Head and Sue spending many years working as a private tutor and teacher, and hope eventually we can grow ‘Tutor Your Child’ to help many families nationally. To attracts investors, entrepreneurs, established and new businesses to add value to the community on basis that equitably shares any profits in excess of the incentive to invest; 5. With the capacity to become largely self-reliant in regards to the basic needs of its residents for water, food and energy and value adding activities to sustain citizen prosperity in perpetuity; 6. That inspires citizens, leaders, community groups, planners, architects and all other stakeholders to work together to a common vision of an ecologically sustainable, fair and equitable society. The New Garden Cities Alliance has been tasked by the signatories of the Letchworth Garden City Declaration to create a movement and organise the consensus to setup the mechanisms so that an agreed definition of what a Garden City is can take root and we can give new settlements the confidence to call themselves ‘Garden Cities’ if they meet a set of agreed social, planning and architectural criteria.
