After a few years of working hard with our athletes and growing as a team, in 2019 we experienced the demand for a higher volume of training. With this in mind, we made the decision to find a suitable base in Europe to accommodate a full-time programme. With this decision, we knew our athletes would require more time away from their UK school, so have since developed an academic programme with a full-time tutor to support our athlete’s education whilst pursuing their ski racing career.

TKA Organisation was founded in 2019 by then 13-year-old Tyler Kanda Avery. Tyler and his younger brother Terell were raised by their single teenage mother who was a Care Leaver who had grown up in Foster Care in one of the most deprived local authorities. The family of three faced a roller coster of difficulties from Financial hardship, Mental health, Homelessness and more. These events shaped Tylers passion to help support other young people like himself. In year 6 primary school Tyler assisted to develop and run a lunch time club for young boys with absent fathers to have a fun space to play various sports with male teachers as role models.
