Course Introduction Our Venepuncture and Phlebotomy training equips delegates with the skills and knowledge needed to take blood safely. Please note: this course is for health care professionals and nurses only. About this event Applicable to Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Phlebotomists in primary care, the community, hospitals or nursing homes, this course is interactive and involves a demonstration session on performing blood tests. Our venepuncture training will give delegates the theoretical and practical awareness to undertake a competence assessment framework in the workplace that will deem them competent to take blood safely and appropriately. Each delegate will receive a competence-based framework to allow them to do this. This is a one day course for employees in a low risk environment where a qualified first aider is necessary. This course became EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK from October 2009 making it a qualification and not just an attendance.

This is a 2 day course which after completion and a satisfactory assessment, re-qualifies the holder for a further 3 years to act as a first aider in the workplace under HSE (First Aid) regulations 1981. Deligates should hold a current FAW certificate.

To help address this complex and yet commonplace experience, we’ve designed a one-day workshop to help professionals who experience passive-aggressive behaviour and toxic interpersonal communication in the workplace cope more effectively. Designed to be a decisive first step into gaining control over workplace toxicity, over the course of one day, attendees will be taught to recognise patterns of passive-aggressive behaviours and will learn how to respond appropriately to it. The workshop we will work through exercises to help demystify passive-aggressiveness so that it can be rendered increasingly more harmless to those who experience it routinely. Through specially designed exercises informed by the field of Emotion Psychology and Neuroscience you will also learn how to be less affected by it without resorting to repressing your emotions and shutting down.

Depending on the risks to your employees you may need a qualified 'first aider(s)' This 3 day course (previously 4 day), which after completion and a satisfactory assessment, permits the holder of the certificate to act as a first aider in the workplace under HSE (First Aid) regulations 1981. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
