one community trust
Warrington
The One Community Trust (OCT) was created in September 2019 and currently
consists of 4 primary schools, plus 5 Local Authority Designated Provisions
sited at two of our schools. All schools received their Academy Orders on the
same date and all converted on the same date. The Trust is a limited company by
guarantee and is registered in England. The main purpose of the Trust is to be a
place where schools (convertor or sponsor) can work collaboratively to be the
best they can be. To support the well-being and development of staff so that
they constantly perform to a high level and retention remains high. All schools
are currently judged Good by Ofsted and we want to maintain our good judgements
and ultimately strive for outstanding status. We are also passionate about
enabling the sharing of best practice and achieving the economies of scale
across the group of schools’ ensuring the very best value for money. The aim is
for all schools in the Trust to be successful, self-governing schools providing
the very best education for the children in its care. Much of the work in the
first year will be focused on embedding systems and processes in order to have
the solid foundations upon which we can take the next steps in our growth.
