Derby City Boxing Academy was founded in February 2009 by Midlands A.B.A. coach Alex Neave. The club itself is in a prime location for the younger society with its main aim being to promote boxing and provide a facility for those whom participate, helping them become responsible citizens and respecting their local community. Our goal is to provide fair guidance and support to all, regardless of race, disability or gender. The club is affiliated to the Amateur Boxing Association of England (A.B.A.), which has set guidelines that all club members must follow. Amateur boxing is recognised worldwide as a contact sport, teaching the techniques and skills required to become an Amateur boxer under qualified instruction and supervision. Having inherited the desire to engage in combat from the beginning of man-kind, boxing enables individuals to release built up aggression, and provides a release from the every-day stresses life brings Derby City Boxing Academy prides itself on the environment it operates which is based on camaraderie and encouragement between all members. Our first priority is the well-being of our boxers and their development as individuals. Our members come from many different cultural backgrounds, both male and female and the club aims to build self-esteem, confidence, improved communication skills, respect, self-discipline and life skills.

It all started in Berlin, Germany and was inspired by a group of young women who read the book “The way of the Empress” by Christine Li. This made them realise that ordinary girls can achieve great things. This book has been an inspiration and a live partner and tells the story of a poor girl, who made it all the way up to be the most powerful woman in an Empire. M∙prez Enterprise is an organization formed on behalf of women, children and young people in the fields of arts, culture, education, technology, communication, science and health. It supports them in their creative endeavors in those fields and other areas that affect them. The company is limited by guarantee since 2009, but has ran projects and activities in partnership and in a freelance capacity. We began a journey where M-prez Enterprise started organising events, produced music, created a radio show called Gheto Yuth Vibez and a TV show called Triple T. M-prez Enterprise’s original founders were: Tortie, Chaos and Drama, and Eve 1. Over the past years, M-prez Enterprise has formed international networks to be a resource that strives collectively to provide opportunities for various participants especially for women and young people. We engage participants through these disciplines and all the other areas that are for the benefit of women, children, and young people across the globe to transform their lives. Through our in-house enterprise curriculum and our partnership with Loughborough College, we support our students to achieve their targets and goals using individual learning plans. Students have a wide range of disabilities including learning difficulties, autism, Asperger's Syndrome, sight loss, communication problems, physical disabilities, chronic illness and hearing loss.
