It is also the record of the client’s progress as they move through their treatment episode. Each level of care has specific criteria for medical necessity. Initial authorizations and requests for continued stay all rely completely on the documentation proving medical necessity is being met. JDS Consulting’s UR and Clinical Services Department provide a wide range of training to ensure that your facilities documentation supports the authorizations being requested. From an overview of medical necessity, to training on specific documents, i.e intake assessments, group notes, utilization review forms, etc, we can pinpoint any areas that may require attention. We pride ourselves on working within the system already in place within each individual facility, tailoring our skills to the identified needs of the clinical team. On site training sessions are available as often as your facility deems necessary. JDS Consulting will work closely with your clinicians at each step of your client’s stay at your facility. We are here to provide support for your treatment team, allowing them to focus on the clients. The UR specialist assigned to your facility will be reading through your documentation daily and send emails with any concerns the run across. Who : Creative Catalyst (Scotland) CIC is a social enterprise which supports young people into Creative Careers. After establishing and running a similar two year pilot project for young creatives as part of the lead up to Perth Creative Exchange and The Famous Grouse Ideas Centre opening , founding director Helen O’Brien decided to take the model of this project forward as a social enterprise. In September 2019 we successfully received ‘Start It’ funding from Firstport, and moved into our new studio at Perth Creative Exchange in November 2019. We have just received Firstport ‘Build It’ funding to support and embed our development in 2021-22. We offer creative employability opportunities for young people who face barriers to employment and training in Perth & Kinross. This project is specifically targeted at young creative individuals who need support to develop their confidence in their creative skills and abilities, and signpost to other opportunities and experiences that will support them with next steps of a creative career. We work alongside other 16+ support agencies in Perth & Kinross who refer young people to us, and we welcome individuals and support workers to contact us directly. How: We offer work experience and mentoring opportunities with professional artists and makers who run live creative projects for us, from design and prototyping an idea, to making a final product, marketing and selling; visit shop here. These projects develop a broad spectrum of practical creative and transferable skills including using imagination, problem solving, clear communication, persistence, self discipline, collaboration and working to a deadline. We also run creative workshops and programmes for children, families and communities which offer opportunities for our young people to work alongside a lead artist to gain confidence and experience of delivering projects with different age groups.

With a background in the corporate tech sector, I had always worked in a very male dominated environment. I feared everyone's eyes turning to me, and the pressure would feel unbearable. This knocked my confidence and I realised I needed to do something about it, to take control back of my own destiny. At this point I discovered lots of different podcasts that really helped to shift my perspectives, and through this found the coach I worked with for the first time which was a total game changer for me. I gradually grew in confidence and began to recognise the value I brought to the table. This helped me to articulate myself a lot better, and I worked on improving my communication skills which enabled me to finally progress in the organisation I worked for at the time. I reached a certain point in my career where I realised I owed so much to my personal transformation. I discovered that my passion was now reaching other women and supporting them to unlock their inevitable potential! Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled.
