Hi there - I'm Paul Green, the founder of The Business Community. I've been an independent business owner since 2003 and love working with small businesses; in particular family-run businesses. I'd like to share a little story about the reason for this and what my "why" is. What drives me My father ran his own small business designing, manufacturing and supplying electrical control panels to various companies within the UK and overseas. At the age of 11, unfortunately, the business went bust - as happens to quite a few businesses. This meant having to move house, move schools - money was tight and the atmosphere was not that great in the household. Having gone through this experience, it obviously left an impression. A few years ago, I attended a workshop (run by Jacky Sherman) looking at why a person is in business and exploring the type of businesses that I enjoyed working with. In this session, the seed that was subconsciously planted many years before emerged. It became apparent that what was driving me in my endeavours to support small, family-run businesses, is that I didn't want any children associated with the business owners to go through the trauma of a failed business! This is why I strive to impact the performance of the businesses I work with; having them be better at what they do - focusing on profitability and cashflow within the business. My journey My experience and knowledge of 20 years being employed by someone else and to date, working with 100s of business owners, gives me the confidence and ability to offer business advice, coaching and training when given the opportunity to do so. Having experienced the trials and tribulations that face a small business on that entrepreneurial journey, I am passionate about making sure businesses don't make the same mistakes that I made en route! I am a big believer in collaboration and encourage businesses to work together to grow their businesses; as well as offering help and support to each other for mutual gain. In 2020, my story culminated in the creation of The Business Community. This brings together my principles of businesses working together. Adler International Learning (previously Adler School of Professional Coaching) was established in 1998 in Toronto by Dr. Linda Page who was the president of Adler School of Professional Coaching. After pilot trainings, Dr. Linda Page, who is an expert in application of Adlerian theory in the business world, established the Adler Professional Coaching Certificate Program together with a group of professional coaches with management expertise over many years. In 2006 the accredited program approved by the ICF, which is recognized as being the biggest organization determining the ethical rules, training guidelines and standards of the coaching profession, achieved the honor of being the first certification program in Canada to train professional coaches. The training program of Adler International Learning, which is aimed at organizations besides individuals, is based on Adler’s “positive psychology” principle. Hunsley Christian Youth Trust (HCYT) was established in 2009 and is a charity committed to working in schools to provide support to Christian Unions, help students making the transition from Primary to Secondary, provide lunchtime activities and a range of other schools work. We also work with local churches to bring young people together and to support churches in their work with young people through training and resourcing where required. We are pleased to be associated with Scripture Union. Our sponsoring churches currently include All Saints North Ferriby, St Barnabas Swanland, the parish of Elloughton and Brough with Brantingham, and All Saints South Cave. We are keen to work in partnership with churches of all denominations across the Hunsley area. God is clearly using HCYT to change the lives of the young people in the Hunsley area for the better. Faith has been deepened through involvement of the Christian Union or equivalent school groups, and space for asking questions has been given to enable young people to find out more about Him and, even, take their first steps towards having a relationship with Him. Our objective is to advance the Christian Faith and education, among young people and children particularly in schools and in collaboration with local churches in the Hunsley area of East Yorkshire.

Collusion is an arts organisation. We create and produce new public artworks - our own and other artists' projects, that explore the creative use of technologies and the impact of emerging technology on society. Our activities support artists' talent development and place-making to deliver dynamic, imaginative new experiences for the public. We're inherently collaborative, creating new shared space with our colluders - artists and associates from the cultural and wider creative sectors, academics, commercial technologists and anyone with a contribution to make! We seek to create a supportive environment that supports playful experimentation and risk taking, leading to new ideas, collaborations, and creative innovation. Oh - and we have a great tech kit too. We're based at Cambridge Junction and in King's Lynn but work with artists from around the UK on projects across the region including in Norwich, Ipswich, St Neots and Wisbech. We're a not for profit company. Our income comes predominantly from project based grants with some generated through our support for other artists and delivering skills programmes; we have no core funding. Our mission: to build an international profile for the wider Cambridge area as an R&D centre for interdisciplinary arts and technology collaboration, to generate work that could only have been produced here.
