Hi, I’m Ali Smith, coach, EMDR therapist, inspirational speaker, corporate trainer. I’m on a mission to educate and empower both individuals and organisations. I use a trauma-informed approach in my one to one sessions and workshops , providing education on tackling workplace wellbeing and stress at work After almost losing my life to a terrorist attack some years ago, I believed that my experience would lead me to my purpose. As an inspirational speaker I share my journey to recovery with the aim of raising awareness on PTSD. After years of experience working in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, I noticed a need for increased focus on employee training initiatives around managing stress at work . Workplace wellbeing has now become a priority in our post-pandemic world I became a best-selling author in 2019 after documenting my journey to recovery after CPTSD. Alongside my 1 to 1 client sessions and speaking engagements, my trauma awareness training for organisations and business coaches has been designed to equip leaders to improve employee collaboration and reduce staff absence I’m comfortable talking about stress and trauma. Trauma is NEVER about the event but always about the internal process as a result of the event Understanding how we can manage our own internal experience helps us to reframe our lives and manage stress at work In a highly traumatised society , I’d like to see everyone willing to engage in these conversations . We need to be talking openly about trauma if we are to move forwards as a collective “Take what was your past and light it as a bonfire to be a beacon of light for others to gravitate to”

Wise Goose began, as many ventures do, as a conversation over coffee between Helen Sieroda and a coaching colleague. This was in 2012 after the dramatic breakdown in corporate governance that led to the financial crisis. They were trying to answer the question “In uncertain times, what kind of coaches does the world need?” The question grew into “What would a professional, purposeful, values-led, pro-business and pro-future coach training look like?” And finally – “Why aren’t we stepping up to create it?” After over twenty years building a training institute in Scandinavia, Helen knew a thing or two about developing and delivering training programmes. She had also completed an a Masters in ‘Responsibility in Business Practice’ that challenged traditional ideas about where leadership and responsibility begins and ends and so, from small beginnings Wise Goose was born. Since then, Helen has secured Institute of Leadership and Management approval and Association for Coaching accreditation for the programmes, assembled a world class team, expanded from Devon into London and Scotland and created a range of ‘custom-made’ in-house coaching courses for organisations alongside her work as a coach and coaching supervisor.

The Christian Coach and Mentor Network is a digital hub for Christian mentoring and coaching in the UK. We are passionate about Christian mentoring and coaching, about overall consistency in the work that is offered from Christian mentors and coaches, and about the Christian community working together to provide a valuable and worthwhile service to those seeking a Christian mentor or coach. The pressures of Christian ministry demands a wide range of gifts, skills and a depth of spirituality. As demanding as this is, many have also found themselves isolated and have been looking for mentors and coaches to travel with them. Those who have found mentors and coaches testify to the impact on their life and leadership, but many struggle to find a mentor or coach, often not knowing who to ask or where to go. The Christian Coach and Mentor Network is a project under Chapel House Ministries, a space of unhurried encouragement, good food, laughter, honesty, passion, and (in the words of a recent visitor) “the finest puddings in all the ‘Shire.” Our team includes the trustees of Chapel House, a leadership team and an operations team. You can meet us here Our website provides access to Christian coaches and mentors for anyone looking for this support in the UK with categories for youth, church leadership and general mentoring. We also provide a central hub for training, resources. local support and supervision. In the future we are planning regional and national events to support coaches and mentors across the UK plus more resources including webinars and training to ensure the standard of coaching and mentoring in the Christian world is as high as possible.

HGAC.co.uk.com is a resource for ArcheryGB qualified coaches. The site is run by HGAC, the Hertford Group of Archery Coaches, the coaching group of Hertfordshire Archery Assocation. It is intended primarily as a resource for Hertfordshire Archery Coaches and Hertfordshire Archers. Certain parts of the site are also available to all ArcheryGB registered coaches (including those students currently on Level 1 courses). The HGAC Group is organised by Malcolm Penn who is the current acting CCO (County Coach Organiser) and Malcolm is assisted by Tony Ferguson, and the CPD Sub-Group and the Development Sub-Group which looks at open coaching and the Hertfordshire Archery Squad.
