We are an independent multidisciplinary centre offering children’s therapy services in the South East of England, Kent, East Sussex, as well as nationally and internationally. Amongst many therapeutic approaches we offer, we specialise in Sensory Integration Therapy and have therapy rooms equipped to the highest standards by our partner, Rompa, the leading UK Sensory Rooms designer and supplier. We also offer Neurofeedback treatment for both children and adults. We are building on the work of the Christmas Childrens Clinic established in 1989, by Jill Christmas, Occupational Therapist and author of ‘Hands on Dyspraxia’ and ‘Sensory Dinosaurs’. Joy Townsend set up A11 Medical Services Ltd after being a volunteer with St John Ambulance for many years, decided to leave there as she no longer liked the new commercial set up, then worked with a Private Ambulance company for about 5 years as a General Manager and decided it was time to go it alone and start this company to help fill a gap within the Event First Aid Medical field & Training. This was becoming apparent with Event Organisers being let down by the ‘bigger’ National providers. So, this was the beginning of A11 Medical Services Ltd in 2019. Joy Townsend Managing Director Emergency Care Assistant (FREC4) with CERAD Qualification / Event First Aider / Trainer / IQA Joy has over 40 years experience in doing first aid and event medical cover across a diverse range of events throughout East Anglia. Examples include Norwich City Football, American Football, Marathons, the Royal Norfolk Show, Boxing, Horse Events of all types, Motor Sport (Bike/Car racing at Snetterton circuit and Motocross), Open Air Concerts and Village Fetes, plus much more. Joy is also an experienced Event Manager/Planner (including organising the levels of medical cover required and liaising with the event organisers & other clinical grades). As well delivering clinical skills at events, Joy has a proven track record in delivering quality training for Event Medical teams, plus first aid training to members of the public and the commercial sector. As well as holding the FREC 4 qualification, I also hold the level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF), Level 4 IQA, Infection Control, Dementia and the Level 3 Safeguarding of Children, Young People & Vulnerable Adults. My latest new qualification I have passed is L3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (CERAD).

I discovered Pilates in my twenties after being diagnosed with a herniated disc in the lower back. The specialist consultant advised that a program of prescriptive pilates exercises would manage the condition, prevent pain and more importantly avoid future operations. I have been practicing Pilates ever since and I am an advocate of its benefits which include supporting life-long medical conditions, injury prevention and managing stress. I was trained by Cherry Baker, one of the UK’s Leading Pilates practitioners. I hold the highest qualification available in mat based Pilates and have been teaching for over 15 years. Following the success of Poynton Pilates I'm now running new classes at Bramhall Pilates. About Modern Pilates Modern Pilates is a respected and reputable training organisation and is trusted within the industry. Modern Pilates brings Joseph Pilates’ Classical approach into the 21st century by combining his principles with recent research. This clinical approach has been devised by physiotherapists and Modern Pilates was instrumental in the development of Pilates training courses in the UK. Many of the exercises remain the same but allowances are made for injury rehabilitation and creativity by the teacher.

H&F Training Hub The Training Hubs (previously CEPNs) are education and service providers based within the community. Training Hubs perform local educational needs assessments across Community and Primary Care networks. The Training Hub is tasked with increasing capacity for future workforce training and developing the current and future workforce around the needs of a geographically defined population. The Hammersmith & Fulham Training Hub works collaboratively with other stakeholders across North West London and receives grant income from Health Education England (HEE) for training, education and workforce development of primary care staff. Who is the Training Hub? The Hammersmith and Fulham Training Hub team consists of experienced nurses, pharmacists, GPs and project support. They work closely with all staffing groups in general practice and with Health Education England to share best practice and support the learning and development of staff across Hammersmith and Fulham. We run regular education forums, provide clinical supervision, mentoring and training. What does the Training Hub do? Hammersmith & Fulham Training Hub has four key strategic priorities: Support, develop and expand the scope and quality of clinical services delivered by the 28 GP practices in Hammersmith & Fulham. The delivery of training, education and workforce development projects to support recruitment and retention, and upskilling of the GP practice workforce, which includes all non-clinical practice staff. This also includes the further development of themed education hubs, each one hosted by a local GP practice, and facilitating shared resources across smaller practices to harness a wider workforce mix (e.g. pharmacy, physician associates, nursing associates) Development of a platform across GP practices that supports the development and implementation of accountable care principles. A transformational change programme for primary care locally. Most recently we have secured funding from RM Partners to run a Cervical Screening Project across Hammersmith and Fulham.
