WHAT IS ACROYOGA? AcroYoga is a physical, contact based practice carried out between two or more people, originating in the 90's. It is a fusion of acrobatics and yoga, and also draws on thai massage and circus arts. THE ACROYOGA COLLECTIVE APPROACH Our approach to AcroYoga is rooted in our joint background in contemporary dance and contact improvisation. This fusion practice encourages playfulness, communication and creative expression in people’s lives through inspiring programmes of our practice of AcroYoga and dance combined.

After many years of teaching and performing, in 2019 Liam and Summer brought their experience together to form Simia Circus Ltd. Simia circus aims to make the benefits of circus arts accessible to everyone. Whether you are aspiring to be a world famous performer, enjoying an exciting and novel form of exercise, or meeting new friends as you learn a skill, Simia Circus welcomes everyone. All Simia Circus staff undergo an extensive training program, which includes not only skill specific training, but also in depth safeguarding, and real time risk assessment. They then undertake an apprenticeship shadowing an experienced instructor, allowing them to further develop their skills. This means that all of our staff are equipped to keep you safe, and make sure you have the best experience possible!

Aerial and Circus Arts Studio based in Surrey!Welcome to CirqueScape! Do you want to get stronger, meet new friends, increase your confidence, or just learn a fun new skill? Come on down and join in the fun! Whether it’s your first time trying circus classes or you’re already a seasoned pro, we’re looking forward to meeting you! The two broad disciplines in trapeze are swinging and static. Our classes are in a form of static trapeze, which means we let the trapeze hang straight down without swinging on it. Both of the ropes are rigged from the same point in our classes, meaning that the ropes and bar form a large triangle shape and the trapeze can spin freely on the rigging point. This setup is commonly referred to as a “dance trapeze” setup. Our classes focus on making shapes on the equipment and moving through sequences, gradually building your skills as you get stronger and more confident. But these sessions will also help you build relevant strength and knowledge to give you a headstart if you ever decided to give flying trapeze a go in the future. People are often surprised by how much they achieve in their first trapeze session. So if you’re not sure if you’ll have enough strength for it, why not just come down and give it a go? We’re very friendly, we have a lot of fun, and you might just surprise yourself along the way!
