Welcome to ACPME. A dynamic network of creative and print managers from the UK Higher and Further Education sectors. No two institutions are the same. Nor are any two of our member’s units. While the activities and influence of individual ACPME members vary greatly, we share common goals of keeping funds on campus, saving our institutions money and best supporting the core activities of learning, teaching and research. There’s a tremendous camaraderie that defines our dynamic network. We meet regularly to share insights and to raise awareness of the depth and breadth of our interests. We attend trade shows together, visit each other’s inplants and celebrate successes every year at our Annual Conference. Perhaps most importantly, we’re there for each other. Issues with suppliers, struggling to write tender evaluation criteria, thinking of offering a new service – you name it… candid help from experienced professionals is only ever an email away.

An introduction from our Chief Executive Robert Candy… I started the Scaffolding Association in 2011 with the intention of creating an open and inclusive organisation that would provide unbiased support to businesses operating in the scaffolding and access sector. Since then we have made considerable progress with our strategic campaign to raise safety standards, strengthen skills training, improve the levels of scaffolding competence and extend our independent audit process to protect product and service quality. Our membership growth demonstrates that we’re creating a business framework that allows scaffolding contractors of all sizes to deliver professional services while improving the safety, and competitive nature, of the whole industry. Robert Candy The new Audited Membership category has been developed in line with PAS91 specifically to demonstrate that scaffolding contractors operate to the highest standards. It offers an independent third party audit, against a scaffolding-specific procurement standard. This move has been welcomed by house builders, local authorities and major contractors who now see the benefit of our members on their tender lists and construction sites. The health and well-being of the workforce is our number one priority. Our vision is one of workplaces that are incident- and injury-free, where everyone returns home safely. The Association continues work with designers, clients and other stakeholders to achieve this. The Association also meets regularly with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to learn from incidents and to work together across the industry to produce policies and procedures that benefit everyone. Safety alerts and standards have been prepared with the HSE covering a range of issues including edge protection and loading bay gates. Training provision and the setting out of best practice is one of the key strategic aims of the Association. We are creating a central hub of knowledge for the whole industry, and we’re committed to leading the way in the provision of world class training in the use of scaffolding. Our members represent a significant percentage of the sector’s capacity and our aim has always been to aid companies in expanding their services and capabilities safely and efficiently. By having such a broad range of members that include clients, erectors, designers, and health and safety professionals, we have been able to assist in creating new opportunities that allow our members to leverage greater value and standards in the scaffolding industry.

Welcome to the Wood Recyclers’ Association (WRA) website where you can find out about waste wood recycling and reprocessing in the UK, who does it, what happens to the wood when it’s recycled or reprocessed and who you can go to if you have waste wood to dispose of. As the trade association for the waste wood recycling sector we work hard on behalf of our members to represent their needs at the highest level within Government and provide advice and support on issues affecting them. We also provide a networking platform for recyclers, reprocessors and suppliers to the industry so they can meet and share experiences, ideas and make new contacts.

Established in 1937, ADA watches over, supports and promotes our members’ interests at a national and parliamentary level, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and discussions. ADA’s members include national agencies like the Environment Agency in England, internal drainage boards, local authorities, and regional flood & coastal committees. ADA’s Associate Members include contractors, consultants and suppliers to the industry. ADA’s water level and flood risk management community is built upon the interaction and connections made between our members. We champion and campaign for the sustainable delivery of water level and flood risk management, offering guidance, advice and support to the sector, whilst also informing society about our members’ essential work. At ADA, our ethos is to promote good practice within the water level management community. We try and offer as many different forms of communications as we can to update and inform our members, as well as the wider public and key stakeholders. ADA also helps our members to promote their work, products and innovation, as well as highlighting projects, services, job positions and events. And most of all, we enjoy bringing professionals together, using their knowledge to help find solutions to our nation’s water and flood risk management issues. Her particular attention has been working with individuals to assess their strengths and skillset, building on their personal and professional development and helping people build their resilience to effectively navigate personal and organisational change. Her consultancy experience spans Local Authorities, the NHS, Public, Private and 3rd Sector. She is an experienced and effective Executive Coach. She delivers specific programmes in stress management, team building, coaching and effective working relationships underpinned by a strong ethos in strength focussing and asset building. Her work takes her all over the country. Jo is an ILM accredited Executive Coach. She has an first degree BSc in Sociology and Applied Social Sciences from Buckinghamshire University, and a MA in Leadership and Management from Birmingham University. She has a Diploma in Practice Mentoring Assessment. Jo is also qualified with a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS). Jo is a highly qualified professional with a wealth of experience in working with a wide range of people.
