Hello to all our fabulous dancers out there! Welcome to our Glamorous Strides Heels Dance Class, a class designed to sprinkle a dash of confidence and a whole lot of sass onto your dance journey. Lacing up your heels for this class is completely optional - but bringing your vibrant energy and giving it your all is non-negotiable! As we explore a dazzling array of poses and dance techniques, you'll also be learning some irresistibly fun and seductive choreography that's guaranteed to turn heads. If you love our energy and are ready to embark on an exhilarating journey of discovery and exploration, we can't wait to see your radiant smiles and determined spirits in our upcoming Heels Course. Here's a glimpse of what you'll begin to master in our Glamorous Strides class: Dance Technique & Flexibility: We'll sharpen your dance techniques and improve your flexibility, making every move look effortlessly graceful. Walking & Balancing in Heels: If you choose to wear heels, we'll teach you how to glide across the dance floor with poise and balance. Posing Techniques: Strike a pose! Learn how to accentuate your movements and exude confidence with our expert posing techniques. Stretching: Proper stretching is crucial in dance, and we'll ensure you learn how to do it right, promoting flexibility and preventing injury. Choreography and Performance: Last but not least, you'll learn captivating choreography and the art of performance, imbuing every dance with your unique style and charisma. “Filmmaking is a chance to live many lifetimes” - Robert Altman Our Film Production Course is led by highly experienced videographer and cinematographer Max Jewell-Smith, and award-winning actor and producer Henry Hereford, who has been working in the industry for more than 20 years in the UK, Australia and the US. Henry is a producer with the production company, Fluffy Cat, who have worked on films such as For The Love Of George, To Leslie, and Well Behaved Woman, so he has plenty of unique insight to share with students. With a mix of technical skills, script writing and acting, students on our Film Production course will work together to create a short film that they will showcase on Friday. WHEN AND WHERE? The Film Production Course takes place in Cranleigh Arts Centre, around 20 minutes from Guildford. The venue has a professional theatre, a sprung dance floor for choreography sessions, dressing rooms, and lots of great areas for filming and multimedia activities, so it's the perfect spot for our aspiring performers to learn in. Monday 22nd - Friday 26th July 2023 In2Drama is split into two groups for age related focus 11-15 year olds: 1pm - 4:00pm 16-21 year olds: 9am - 12:00pm

Peter is the Theatre Manager for Cranleigh Schools and has worked as the Technical Manager producing shows and events for Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, as well as touring with Encore Dance Company. This specialised course gives students a glimpse behind the curtains at the theatre, and the basic skills they need to work in this industry. It's perfect for anyone who wants to work in crucial behind-the-scenes roles in theatre, as each day contains practical training on subjects like lighting, design, sound, projection, setup and operation. In fact, you'll be taught the process of putting on a show, and get hands-on experience when you use what you've learned to run the technical side of the live shows at the end of the Academy! “Music is the movement of sound to reach the soul for the education of its virtue.” - Plato Our Music Production Masterclass is a 2-day course led by music producer and Musical Theatre student, Jack Howells Davies, alongside a secondary Music Production tutor (TBC). With experience in music technology, composing, producing music for video, film scoring, composition and more, Jack’s expertise will help guide budding music producers on their journey to creating amazing music for a variety of formats. Jack is currently studying a BA in Musical Theatre at the Conservatoire, and also has professional training at Hurtwood House, Guildford School of Acting and Stagecoach in a number of musical styles and genres, as well as experience in musical theatre audition technique, so he is a great asset to our teaching faculty who can advise in a number of areas. When you join this 2-day intensive course, you’ll learn the art of production which can help every type of creative to showcase their musical talents in the best way. This course will help students develop skills to produce music for outlets such as film and television soundtracks, and music videos, and musicians will even have the opportunity to write and play contemporary music for performance. With it, it becomes creation.” - Bette Davis Our Acting Masterclass is led by award-winning actor and producer Henry Hereford, known for his roles in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, True Blood, Wham Bam Thank You Ma’am, and much more. If you are interested in learning the craft of acting, how to break into the business and how to successfully audition for roles, this is the course for you. Henry’s programme will give you a head start in learning the skills you need to carve out a successful career as an actor in future. You will have a supportive environment to ask any questions you have about auditioning for drama schools or casting calls, and explore many acting techniques with the help of an industry professional. With Henry’s help and the chance to perform in front of a live audience at the end of the course, you’ll have your acting career off to a great start! WHEN AND WHERE? Using a range of music from the latest pop songs, learning fun choreography! TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. TERM BOOKINGS: You are welcome to watch the first class but following this your WhizzDancer will be expected to go in the class independently. You will be expected to provide full uniform. Details will be sent following. We have lots of opportunities ahead for your WhizzDancer including exams and shows. (5-8yrs) Using a range of music from the latest pop songs to great musical theatre songs (old and new!) JazzPops offers a range of dance throughout the term with a dash of some musical games. Combined with an introduction to Tap class, incorporating the work of the ISTD Primary Class along with some toe tapping and super fun stomping choreography!
