We are a cookery school for disabled adults 18 plus. At StedyChefs we teach all about the joy and fun to be had whilst cooking ,not only helping improve life skills but building self confidence and making friends along the way. Our whole building is covered in fun graffiti, our chefs wear a full uniform and different coloured bandanas making their time here as fun as possible. We also teach other activities such as art and music, the Beatles actually played in our building in 1961. Our chefs cook everything from scratch and not only this, they grow their own vegetables in our outside space as well as doing outside cooking in warmer months. Our chefs do food related trips also once every six weeks. Some of our chefs volunteer and in the past have worked in local cafes and football stadiums. Our youngest student is 18 and our eldest is 63 years old. The food our chefs create on a daily basis can only be described as phenomenal. We are also part of the International Cookery School Association (School Of Excellence) We also teach our students health and safety in the kitchen. We recently had Merseyside Fire Brigade in our centre to deliver a lesson on hazards that may occur in a kitchen and how to handle them safely. Merseyside Police have also attended our centre to deliver on a lesson on how to stay safe when using the internet. In January of this year, seven of our students gained their Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene In The Kitchen qualification. It took us over a year of visually and verbally training our students in preparation for their test. As they passed, they are now able to legally work in a professional kitchen environment. One of the students is now actively looking for paid work in the catering sector using his newly acquired qualification. We have also partnered with The Trussell Trust and are now running a food bank from or building with the help of our wonderful students.

We hold regular meetings with a range of speakers; giving members the opportunity to exchange views, network and obtain information on topical issues. We send regular correspondence to ensure that members are kept up to date with events, local or national government policy & regulatory changes that impact on the Independent Sector. Membership of GCPA is considered a sign of a progressive organisation, committed to delivering the highest standards of care and keen to play an active part in the county’s wider social care community. Representatives of the Gloucestershire Care Providers Association attend regular strategic and liaison meetings with Social Care Officers, to discuss and review contracts, procedures and other issues. We also work very closely with the NHS, including the Clinical Commissioning Group and Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust throughout the county, working together on a variety of initiatives aimed both at tackling immediate issues facing vulnerable people and designing better ways of working for the future. In addition we have strong links with CQC (Care Quality Commission) and regularly liaise with Senior County Councillors, local MPs, local authority Commissioners and other decision makers, influencers and interested organisations. Welcome to the home of Adam Henson. Cotswold Farm Park was opened in 1971 by Adam's father Joe to help protect some of our rare breeds of farm animal. Aged 30, Joe Henson and his old school friend John Neave take over the tenancy of Bemborough Farm, then owned by Corpus Christi College, Oxford. Short of capital, in the short term they needed to devise a low capital farming system and so began growing barley, with a few commercial sheep for the rough banks. The Conservation Area of the Farm Park is opened, with a guest appearance from Ellie Harrison. Countryfile celebrates its 25th anniversary on our television screens and Adam teams up with celebrity chef Nigel Slater on ‘Nigel and Adam’s Farm Kitchen’, where they join forces to show the process of producing and cooking Britain’s favourite foods.

I wanted to create and express who I was through painting, design, photography and dancing. I wanted to work with colours and shapes. Instead, I was encouraged to pursue a more conventional path and went on studying accounting. It took me a long time to discover, or rather re-discover, my passion. I didn’t choose this purposeful path until I was in my early thirties. I spent the last ten years of my life working in the corporate world before following my true calling. I did enjoy my job in Finance but I wasn’t 100% fulfilled. I clearly wasn’t making use of my strengths and talents. This was frustrating and affected my self-esteem.

Me, Myself in Mind provides workshops, one-to-one therapy and group facilitation for business or individuals, specifically for the hospitality industry. Our mission is built around educating others on stress reduction techniques, mental health awareness and the importance of learning coping skills, emotional resilience and self awareness. Created by London based chef, Merly Kammerling in 2018. Merly is a qualified integrative therapist, stress reduction coach and mental health in the workplace instructor. Merly has worked for restaurants such as Temper, Caravan, The Modern Pantry, Sambal Shiok and The Food Initiative. In former years she worked front of house as a Maître D’, waitress, barista and bartender. Me, Myself in Mind has provided workshops and therapy sessions for establishments such as Soho House, The Hoxton Group, Brown Forman, Edrington-Beam Suntory, Callooh Callay, William Grant & Sons, London Cocktail Week and restaurant such as St John, Marcus Waring Group and Granger & Co.
