We are a well-established charitable organisation providing a range of counselling and training services to secure the delivery and development of high quality professional counselling and counselling associated training in Gloucestershire and the surrounding area. GCS first started in 1978 and became registered as a charity in 1984 with the aim to provide high quality, affordable counselling to the communities of Gloucestershire. At this time there was little provision of this nature outside of London, the small group of therapy professionals grew the service and later launched the training of counsellors so as to ensure an ongoing supply of professionally trained counsellors to the county. GCS was founded to provide access to affordable counselling and training for all members of society within the county, regardless of background or circumstances. We recognise that discrimination operates consciously and unconsciously in our society, which means some people have greater access to opportunities than others. Association of Igbo community in Nantes aka Obinwanne, is an association of Ndigbo living in the western part of France in a region called Pays de la Loire. It was formed in 2011 and elected its first executives the same year. The association was formed to with the hope and aim of bringing all Ndigbo living in Pays de la Loire together, to see how we can continue to uphold the communal lifestyle that Ndigbo are noted for. This we do by coming together to share our talents, ideas and no matter how limited our resources maybe, if put together it can greatly help us to archive our individual and collective dreams, also to see that all nwa afo Igbo living here is up and doing, known to one another to keep promoting the spirit of Obinwanne that we are noted for. This association is not just on its own as we are also in contact/linked with other Igbo communities in France, Europe, America and the world at large. We are also involved in some charity works back home to see that our people are not left out in enjoying the good amenities that life has to give. At present the association is evolving towards a bigger developmental level. It has opened its door to all UmuIgbo to join them to see that Ndigbo has a voice anywhere they are and also also to see that ur language is not deleted from the list of languages still being spoken in the world today.

I’ve always loved the British countryside and have been foraging for wild foods for many years now and have a built up a good knowledge of native British trees and plants. My interest in traditional herbal preparations started with me making ointments for myself and my partner. We run a bushcraft company and consequently spend much of our time outdoors. We’re often getting bit & stung but neither of us wanted to put DEET on our bodies. So I did a little research to find out if any of the many native wild plants we find in our ancient woodland and surrounding hedgerows and fields would help. From this initial research I made some plantain ointment. And it really worked, so I made some more. We also get the odd cut so I made yarrow ointment, and that worked as well! Then friends and family started to ask for the ointments, followed by creams. Then customers on our bushcraft courses started to ask for some and so I made some for them. And it’s spiralled from there. I hope you like my herbal products as much as they all do! I make my herbal products using plants that are native to the British Isles. I collect them all myself so that I know what’s picked and can ensure that it’s done sustainably. The bee’s wax I use is sourced from a charity working with refugees. I’ve worked as a nurse for 30 years and more recently completed a Diploma in Herbal Medicine, recieving a distinction.

Our goal at Edinburgh University Cricket Club is to promote a passion for the game within the university and the wider community. We are a large and inclusive club of seven teams (four men’s, two women’s and a social XI) and compete in both indoor and outdoor competitions. We offer a diverse winter and busy summer schedule to suit any level of ability or commitment. We train three times a week, with specialist coaching available from Joe Kinghorn-Gray, Craig Yelverton and Aashiq Rhode. Our elite indoor squads have extra sessions to maintain our prowess in National Finals. Our Semester One Varsity Day, with both men’s and women’s matches against St Andrews, is always a day to remember that everyone gets involved in. We have a vibrant social scene, with socials and events throughout the semester, giving squads the chance to mix and friendships to blossom. Our annual Casino Night and Ball are some of the biggest nights of the year, and are a chance to dress up in the name of charity. There is also the opportunity to participate in various intramural sports, such as football, netball and hockey, if one sport isn’t enough for you! Our men’s and women’s 1st XI squads play at the highest standard in the BUCS Northern Premier divisions, while the rest of our squads play throughout Scotland. 2022 saw the exciting addition of a women’s 2nd XI and a Social XI, making our club even bigger and better than ever! A Bespoke Course The course is exclusively aimed at learners with Education, Health and Care Plans. 1 Year Programme The programme will run for 15 hours a week over 3 days and transitions young people into further education or prepares them for the workplace. A Range of Modules The mandatory modules include progression routes which focus on preparing for further study or employment. There is an extensive range of optional modules should a person want to expand their knowledge in a specific area. Functional Skills We offer separate qualifications in both Maths and English ranging from Entry Level 1 up to Level 2. The qualification helps to prepare people for further learning or develop their knowledge and skills in a work-related subject. Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications included where needed, levels from Entry 1 to Level 2. Bespoke course delivered within a small group setting based on preparing to transition for the following academic year. Units can be studied at different levels to support spiky profiles, work-related units in Animal Care, Business and Administration, Catering, Charity and Voluntary sector, Cleaning, Construction, Creative Skills, Customer Service/Contact Centres, Hair and Beauty, IT, Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Retail, Sport and Leisure. We offer support and encouragement in living, social and practical skills to enable people with learning and physical disabilities to enjoy independent lifestyles. Who We Are Enable (Sheffield) is a charity based training organisation for people with disabilities. Our aim is to offer a quality care and training opportunities to meet their individual needs. Our training areas deliver themed subjects and topics relevant to suit our learner’s abilities and skills. First opening for business in 1994, with the intention to make a difference to the lives of people with disabilities in Sheffield. From the offset we have always involved our learners in the decision making process, and this is, we believe, the key to our success. Enable (Sheffield) has grown to become a well established and renown training provider for disabled adults in Sheffield, but began life in very humble beginnings. Founder Alan Finchett rented a room in a local school, for disabled adults from the area to use, initially repairing and recycling toys and bikes but gradually more activities were added to the schedules. Within a year, with more learners attending, space was getting tight so it was soon time to move to bigger premises. Skip along 8 years and demand was so great for places that work started on our purpose built building. Exactly 10 years after starting, Enable was ready to move into their new home. The centre has been designed specifically to meet the demands of disabled people, offering a bright, spacious learning place for all.

Established originally as a Drop in for local children run by local mothers the nursery grew from this into the setting that we have today, incorporating 3 classrooms alongside a dedicated Drop in which runs daily. The nursery is a registered charity and a not for profit organization. The nursery is run by a dedicated team of managers with Trustees and directors that are made up of parents from the nursery. This system allows all parents to get involved in the running of their child’s nursery both on the ground level and in the management side. The nursery is run by Vivien Moxam & Manisha Gorsia who have both been at the nursery well over 15 years, we are local to the Queens Park area and have worked closely with the community. Manisha Gorsia has been the manager for over 13 years and is passionate about the nursery, the children and is always looking at opportunities to build and develop the team and the practices at Hopscotch, Manisha wants all children to leave the nursery with confidence and the skills to go onto school. Manisha runs the team of 20 staff overseeing them on a daily basis with the help of her deputy and room leaders. Vivien Moxam joined the team over 15 years ago while her own children were attending the nursery & has since come on board as a Company Director. Manisha and Vivien work closely together to ensure the smooth running of Hopscotch, with Manisha being child facing & Vivien’s role is to over see the business aspect of the business.
