The Science of Acting The Science of Acting was founded by Sam Kogan, influenced by Maria Knebel; his teacher, who herself was a student of Stanislavski. The curriculum of the Science of Acting is founded on 4 principles: Freedom from Gods or Idols - Only once you learn to think for yourself will you be able to be free on stage. Right and Wrong - Statements such as ‘there is no right or wrong in acting’, or ‘you either have it or you don’t’ are common in Drama Education. But if this were true, there would be no point to a drama school, or to dramatic training of any kind. The Science of Acting therefore is based on a technique the knowledge of which has proven to give actors the training to be able to create inspiring acting. Quality of Acting - We believe that the best acting occurs when actors are able to use the right type of imagination (which we all have); that being active as opposed to passive imagination, which few actors are aware of or know how to use. Terminology or The Meaning of Words - For a group of actors to create the context of stories and therefore entertain, a common understanding through language in all its forms is necessary. This enables each individual actor to be free in their uniqueness, whilst creating a totality for the audience. The Science of Acting will enable you to become an independent actor who is able to play any character in any medium, always delivering the highest level of professional work. The Judo Federation welcomed very favourably the introduction of judo in the school curriculum to the point that Catherine Arnaud proposed to teach it in our school. Judo is for students beginning at age 4 and a half and all Montessorian judokas, who are certified by the judo federation, pass the grades at the end of the year. Judo is a sport that allows the child to develop many skills: respect for the rules, respect for others and respect for oneself. It builds self-confidence and an ability to communicate. The structured character of judo (dress, rules, greeting, respect of the teacher) allows children to flourish. This contact sport participates in better appropriating the body diagram which remains an essential step to develop a better knowledge of oneself and helps to promote self-confidence. Through this activity, children evacuate excess physical energy and release their emotional charge which can be a source of aggression. Judo is therefore a wonderful opportunity of self-learning and brings forth an extraordinary development of the personality (taste of the effort, surpassing oneself, spirit of sharing, respect, development of motor skills). Including judo in the school curriculum is a unique chance to practice a high-caliber sport in a peaceful and caring environment.

Aya Aromas was founded in 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. We (Georgette & Sophinne) are sisters who both share an obsessive love for ethical home scents that are reminiscent of good times. We developed our scent range around childhood memories growing up in the UK and through family trips around Europe and Ghana. Aya is an Adinkra symbol in Ghana meaning resourcefulness and endurance represented as a fern and was used as a symbol of hope throughout the pandemic. The fern artwork in our packaging represents the Adinkra symbol and our commitment to being an eco-friendly brand. We are 100% environmentally friendly, vegan and sustainable and with our rebrand decided to plant a tree with every order as we believe climate action is everyone's responsibility. Each of our products have been designed to transform spaces and fill them with colour and character through the art of scent. We have been recommended by numerous major publications such as; Harper's Bazaar, The Times, Cosmopolitan, Stylist, House Beautiful and HSBC along with many others. Our Aya community has grown significantly in our first two years with customers from countries all across the globe including the USA, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia.
