We work with Schools to develop a customised annual programme for Future Readiness that includes Teachers, Students and the Parents, thereby ensuring that the school is a QAI Certified Future Ready School. All stakeholders undertake a self-analysing Future Readiness Index questionnaire. The outcome is then analysed and additional inputs taken from the school basis which a specific and focused programme is developed. Activities are mapped to the research-based Future Readiness Framework developed by QAI linked to which is the Future Readiness Index. Details and outline can be found in the ‘Future Readiness – Megatrends…and the way forward’ report produced by QAI. Established in 2007, International House Belfast (a member of the International House World Organisation) is a British Council accredited centre, a certified Cambridge ESOL Examination and Teacher Training centre and a member of English UK and MEI Relsa. We are proud to be accredited by the Green Standard Schools as an environmentally friendly language learning school. We aim to provide English language students from all over the world with a comfortable, friendly and technologically advanced environment in which they can develop their language skills. We are located in Belfast’s University Street, just south of the city centre in the bustling University Quarter. The school is situated a 5 minute walk from Queens University in a beautiful historical Victorian terrace featuring 12 spacious classrooms as well as a study room; a computer room; a wellness lounge; a self-service kitchen and dining area; a snack area and a small terrace with a hosting bar.

IH Bristol was started in 1987 as The Language Project by Val, while studying for her PhD. The school has been teaching students ever since and it is the biggest remaining family owned and operated language school in Bristol. We joined the International House global network of affiliated language schools in 2009 and are proud to be members of such a highly regarded, diverse and vibrant organisation. Over the course of the years we expanded into two beautiful period buildings in the Clifton distric and diversified into teacher training, exams, junior summer - and winter - school and foreign languages. In 2019-2020 we added a new custom-built student common room to our Queens Avenue building, furthering our ambition to always put the student experience first. IH Bristol aims to give back to the community: we have taught many refugee classes in Bristol and have been involved in development projects in Cuba, Angola and Vietnam. We adapter our buildings for Covid very early so that we could facilitate English exams for medical professionals needed by the NHS. And let's not forget our free exercises and our Phrase of the Day videos, which can help students worldwide to increase their knowledge on a daily basis. We are working towards making our operation more environmentally sustainable and have so far installed 100s of ultra low energy light fittings and fixtures and sophisticated heating controls.
