The Bobby Trust began life in 1998 as one man and one van, working out of a police station. It was funded by Hampshire Police together with Hampshire County Council. With a mixture of personalised advice and practical assistance, the scheme set out to help victims of burglary and the vulnerable to feel safe again, and at the same time, reduce the risk of repeat crimes. The fitters could replace locks, fit security chains and smoke alarms, and advise the clients on the best ways to keep their homes secure.

At Hambrooks, we have designed nine beautiful show gardens to help you find inspiration for your own. You will find a range of styles and plants that provide ideas to take-away, suitable for any site and for however you want to use your outside space. Each garden has year-round interest, with some seasonal highlights, and each showcases different hard-landscaping, furniture, lighting or shading options. Our covered walkway means you can view each garden in the dry (or the shade) all year round. But we encourage you to step into the gardens too, to get a sense of how they feel for you. The average garden in the UK is just 188 square metres*; that’s something like 11 by 17 metres (or 36 by 56 feet). Our show gardens are deliberately within this range, to ensure that what we’re showcasing is achievable, no matter how large or small your space at home. Get a taste of each garden by clicking the links below. Each show garden page includes photos, a plan and dimensions, and lists of the key plants and materials used.
