Abi’s background is in youth work and she has collaborated with a number of organisations to develop participatory approaches to working with vulnerable adolescents. She has worked with The International Centre: Researching Child Sexual Exploitation, Violence and Trafficking at the University of Bedfordshire, supporting specialist social care teams in Wigan and Rochdale to implement strengths and participatory approaches to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). Abi co-wrote training for these teams with Dr Camille Warrington on behalf of Research in Practice. At the University of Bedfordshire, Abi also worked on the LEAP project (2015-17) with Dr Kate D'Arcy. Abi wrote training tools for young people and professionals across Europe, in order to respond to young people's experiences of sexual violence and to support efforts to prevent sexual violence. The three-day youth facilitator training programme is called “Life-skills, leadership and limitless potential" (LLLP). All these programmes provide knowledge and tools to apply participatory approaches to practice with young people.

We are an OFSTED regulated Nursery and Primary School. We deliver the EYFS (Early Learning Foundation Stage) and the basic understanding of an Islamic curriculum to your child. Here at Darul Madinah we actively promote working together with the parents/carers of the children within our care. You are the most important people in your child's life and only by working together can we ensure that your children will achieve and develop to their full potential whilst having lots of fun and adventures during their time with us. Our provision is for 2 - 4 year olds and presently we can cater for up to a total of 68 children. We provide two different sessions where the parents can choose the most appropriate time for their child. The morning session runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm, while the afternoon session runs from 12:45pm to 3:45pm. In addition to the morning or afternoon sessions, we can also provide full day sessions for working parents. We can accomodate admissions throughout the year (Autumn, Spring & Summer). Children usually joining the term after their second or third birthday. All our staff are fully trained and experienced. Most of our children from early years usually progress to our Primary school. We recruit for our primary school throughout the year.

It is also the record of the client’s progress as they move through their treatment episode. Each level of care has specific criteria for medical necessity. Initial authorizations and requests for continued stay all rely completely on the documentation proving medical necessity is being met. JDS Consulting’s UR and Clinical Services Department provide a wide range of training to ensure that your facilities documentation supports the authorizations being requested. From an overview of medical necessity, to training on specific documents, i.e intake assessments, group notes, utilization review forms, etc, we can pinpoint any areas that may require attention. We pride ourselves on working within the system already in place within each individual facility, tailoring our skills to the identified needs of the clinical team. On site training sessions are available as often as your facility deems necessary. JDS Consulting will work closely with your clinicians at each step of your client’s stay at your facility. We have worked with our consortium partners over the last 6 years to carve out a role in East Lancashire, the wider county of Lancashire as well as nationally and internationally, as a cultural development agency that was previously lacking. We have increasingly developed our programming to address the needs of the communities with whom we work, to become a key strategic partner that works with organisations, artists, residents and local authorities to spotlight and enhance the cultural reputation of East Lancashire. Our two key long-term projects – the Pennine Lancashire Linear Park and the British Textile Biennial – are two of only a small number of core projects detailed in Lancashire County Council’s recently published Cultural Investment Strategy. These two core programme platforms bring together and elevate our embedded, long-term projects across our communities, providing national visibility, informing cultural strategy, and demonstrating that cultural productivity and active citizenship is flourishing across East Lancashire.
