Hafsa and Mariam two best friends who had great working careers in childcare struggled to find flexible care for their children. They then took their ambition and expertise into creating a fun, flexible, affordable loving environment for all Children. The very first customers were their own children. Kids Corner Nursery provides excellent childcare throughout the year for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding. Founded in England in 1929, and granted independent charitable status on 1st January 1997, there are around 330 Branches and 400 Centres in the UK alone. The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members and medal winners. The Pony Club is represented in no less than 27 countries with a worldwide membership exceeding 110,000 making it the largest association of young riders in the world. Objectives The objectives of The Pony Club are: to encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding to give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to look after and to take proper care of their animal to promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self-discipline Membership Membership is open at any young person under the age of 25. Structure The Pony Club Office is based at Lowlands Equestrian Centre, Warwickshire from where The Pony Club is managed by a permanent staff responsible to The Board of Trustees and the Management Committee. Incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee Registered Company Number: 3072475 Registered Charity Number: 1050146 Areas The Pony Club is split into 19 Areas, with a number of Branches and Centres in each, across the country. Each Area has an Area Representative who will represent their Branches and Centres at Area Representatives meetings. Branches Each Branch covers a geographical area and is organised using the purposes and the rules of The Pony Club. Every Branch is administered by a voluntary District Commissioner helped by a Committee made up of voluntary members. Pony Club Branch Membership is open to anyone under 25 years of age. Members should have access to a horse or pony, by ownership or loan, and have the means to transport the horse or pony to and from rallies and events. Centres In 1998, the Centre Membership scheme was launched for those, without their own pony who ride at riding schools, to become Members and take part in all that The Pony Club has to offer. There are currently around 400 Pony Club Centres spread across the UK. Activities at the Centre are run by the Proprietor and their Coaches. New Pony Club Centre Membership is open to anyone under 25 years of age who does not own a pony. Members pay an annual subscription and receive instruction at a Pony Club linked Centre, this subscription constitutes Membership of the Club and includes third party insurance. Since January 2016, Centre Plus Membership is also available for young riders with their own pony who ride at a Pony Club Linked Centre.

Or you could be a group of parents who are home schooling and would like access to mindfulness to help build resilience and confidence. Lydia has 16 years’ experience of teaching in state schools in the Buckinghamshire area and understands the issues facing students, teachers and parents. She can offer a range of programmes for all Key Stages, INSET training or taster sessions, online or in-person. Well-being for people with limited mobility Do you know an individual or a group who could benefit from yoga or meditation? Lydia has recently qualified as a Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga teacher and can design and deliver classes for seniors, people in wheelchairs, people with dementia and anyone who finds it difficult to do yoga on a mat. All the benefits of yoga can be made accessible to anyone, this includes: range of physical movement; cognitive ability; bone density; muscle strength; managing stress and anxiety; better sleep and improved confidence and self-esteem. We are happy to travel to care homes, communities or rehabilitation facilitates etc. Or we can offer on-line sessions. Well-being in corporate settings Research by the HSE suggests that stress, depression and anxiety generate around 17.9 million sick days in the UK each year. Eighty-three percent of businesses report people turning up to work who are not well enough to be productive and this costs the UK businesses about £15.1 billion each year (Mind, 2011). Almost half of the UK’s workers report that they have considered leaving a job because of the stress levels with 60% saying they would be more motivated if employers took action to support their mental health and well-being (Mind, 2013 & 2020). Lydia and Doug both teach chair yoga, a form of yoga that can be done at a desk and is specifically designed to target the physical stresses of sitting all day. We are also both trained in teaching a range of mindfulness practices to adults and younger people. Lowland Rescue Association Mark was a founding member and training officer for the first Lowland Rescue Team in Wales, Mon-SAR from 2015 – 2017 and has the following qualifications Lowland Rescue Search Technician Search Party Leader Instructor Search Manager and Planner Lowland Rescue Search Technician Assessor TAQA – Training, Assessment & Quality Assurance, Level 3 IQA – Internal Quality Assurance, Level 4 SARMAN software qualified for search management Specialist Search Dogs Mark is a qualified, assessed by David Jones and Gavin Roberts, cadaver search dog handler with his spaniel ‘Missy’. He has delivered presentations at seminars for land and water search with search dogs, as well as conducted ongoing searches in the UK for missing persons. Mark has also attended IKAR conferences for continued professional development. Whilst working as a consultant for International Rescue Training Centre Wales, he also help develop the Dangerous Dogs Handling course and delivered it to numerous candidates in the UK and also to environment agency and council officers in Northern Ireland. Also whilst at IRTCW he also helped organise, deliver and present at two specialist water search seminars, the first at Hawley Lake by Gibraltar Barracks and then at Trent Lock, Nottingham. Rafting in Nepal In 2003 he was part of a team providing the first commercial white water rafting expeditions with Equator Expeditions, undertaking an expedition on the mighty Sunkoshi River as well as the upper and lower sections of Bohte Koshi.

Each training‘cycle’ lasts three years plus time to prepare a ‘Monography’ (final thesis). Attendance is approximately one weekend a month, usually for nine months of the year. You’re welcome to come either as a student or as a regular dancer to experience Biodanza at a deeper level. Our students come from all backgrounds and represent a wide age range. You can participate in Biodanza at any age throughout your life. We are certified by the IBF, International Biocentric Foundation, the worldwide governing body which is, at present in more than 36 countries and we abide by the code of conduct of the association of Biodanza teachers – http://www.biodanzaassociation.uk, the representative body of teachers here in the UK. The Rhythm of the School There is an organic rhythm to the school which is created by the beautiful music we use for the vivencias. To have four vivencias during each weekend is to dive deeply into yourself, with space to explore through movement and dance. You are enabled to deeply embody Biodanza within the safe environment of the school, discovering friendships and life affirming connections with the others in your group, During each weekend of the 3 years’ training time is given to the presentation of the theoretical bases of Biodanza, each of the first 20 weekends relate to the syllabus followed by all registered Biodanza schools. The theory sits alongside the vital experiential learning which comes from the vivencias. The last 8 modules focus on the practical training, giving those students who wish to become facilitators the tools to hold classes with confidence and who the Directors consider to be ready. The Saturdays and Sundays of the School usually take place over the second weekend of each month. Combined with your commitment to a regular weekly group the school weekends will amplify your experience. What you can expect Our training programme is an exploration of the poetry of movement, dance, expression and communication. You’ll be a valued member of a school which has an ethos of warmth, care, safety and a good measure of fun. You’ll experience the personal transformative process while enjoying and trusting the journey, supported along the way, and, in the final year, to develop the confidence and ability to create your own classes from a strong sound base.
