We don't accept clients who might be unsure of their ability to do the homework required. Our client roster is full of people like you, who've committed to spending at least an hour more each day to engage in our program or decided to take our option for bi-weekly sessions. Your first step when trying to figure out a solution to a behaviour problem may be to talk to your Vet. Your Vet may refer you directly to PivotalChange.ca or they may suggest you go to a Veterinarian Psychiatrist. While we are recognized by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) as a Canine Psychologist, it can be confusing. What is the difference? A Veterinarian Behaviourist/Psychiatrist has significantly more years in animal education, medical training and must have graduated from a Veterinary College. A potential alternative to a Veterinarian Psychiatrist is seeking a highly educated, Canine Psychologist and a Canine Behaviourist like myself. In addition to the CMA, I am accredited by the International School for Canine Psychology & Behaviour. I am also an IAABC Certified Dog Behaviour Consultant. The IAABC is an international body who has reviewed by work and recognizes those with the highest education and experience in their field. Our programs take advantage of an advanced education and experience in Strategic & Systems Thinking, and over 30 years applying current neuroscience, psychology & change science to human beings. We surround you and your dog with a team of professionally trained psychology-based behaviour specialists, with my end-to-end oversight of the behaviour progress. This allows us to flex with your schedule, and provide consistent quality results to change any behaviours.

One to One Training; we come to your home or park and work on behaviours together to build your pup up for success. PUP-e-SCHOOL; a live weekly class held via Zoom guiding you through all the necessary puppy exercises to set you and your pup up for success.

My name is Claire, and I am a local certified, fully insured Dog Trainer, and have successfully completed courses with COAPE, Dog Training College, Canine Principles, Spirit Dog Training, and several other recognised bodies. I teach by only using positive, force-free, and reward-based methods, which is based on learning through games and play.  At the same time helping you build the valuable relationship between you and your dog. These classes are about people and pups enjoying the sessions and focus on having FUN!  It has been scientifically proven that dogs learn quicker when learning through play! We train for a fun time, not a long time! I offer personalised 1 to 1 lessons, perfect for individuals and families alike, you can book one-off sessions at a cost of £40 per hour or packages of 4 lessons in a block, these are held on a weekly basis and each course costs £100 (4 x £25). The lessons are between 45-60 minutes long depending on the attention span/energy level of your canine friend! Dog Training Services and Dog Products I offer personalised behavioural sessions which tackle a range of behavioural issues. A personalised approach includes a 1-2-1 session and a training plan tailored to your dog. Behavioural sessions can help your dog overcome: reactivity towards people and/or other animals, resource guarding, fears and phobias, separation anxiety, destructive behaviours, canine compulsive disorder (e.g. excessive licking), lack of recall, mouthing, jumping up on guests, lack of toilet training, pulling on the lead and many more.

Delta One Canines was established in 1999 when I retired from the Police Force.  Twenty one  of those thirty years was spent as a dog handler and dog training instructor. The aims of the business are the same now as they were then, to provide dog training and behaviourial advice to pet owners that is effective, acceptable and affordable. The business has grown over the last twenty five years and now includes two associate instructors.  Potential clients of the business can be assured by our membership of bona fide professional organisations. I have been a full member of British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers since the mid 1980s and an Honorary Life Member  of Canine Behaviour & Training Society (Formerly U.K. Registry of Canine Behaviourists) since 2010. My associate trainers are also  members of B.I.P.D.T.. On-going staff training has included courses in Canine First Aid and dog law. We deliver Responsible Dog Ownership Courses which were developed by ourselves at the request of and in association with  West Midlands Police. We pride ourselves on delivering a personal service to all clients. All our training lessons are delivered on a “One to one”  basis so that owner and dog can progress at their own pace without distractions.  Behaviourial consultations are delivered at the owners home. The consultations deal with matters such as aggression, separation anxiety, dominance and other subjects that are beyond the scope of a regular training lesson. Owners are given a behaviour modification program to address the cause of the dogs unwanted behaviour.
