Once they started in full time education, Tracy went back to college and after that there was no stopping her! She achieved the L3 Advanced National Certificate in Floristry, L4 Higher Diploma in Floristry and the Certificate in Education within 5 years whilst running her own retail florist shop in Kent. Tracy then completed the Master Diploma in January 2014; the highest qualification you can receive in the UK with Distinction and also received the highest grade throughout the UK for the practical exam. Furthermore, She also attends numerous CPD courses to ensure she retains her position in the industry. Tracy understands what a vital tool CPD is and has had the opportunity to attend the House of Commons on behalf of Institute for Learning Skills Council to talk about her own subject specialism and how it enhances the industry. Invited to launch Institute of Professional Floristry in the Houses of Commons (2015). Jo is a fully qualified Physiotherapist and has been working for over 17 years in the profession treating a variety of patients to include Elite athletes, Professional Ballet dancers, amateur sports participants and the general public with complex pain conditions. She completed the training to become a fully certified Modified Pilates teacher in 2003 with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. Jo lives with her husband, daughter, their son and a springer spaniel in Barnsley and loves keeping herself fit by attending Bootcamp sessions, personal training and running. She is aiming to do her first half marathon soon. In 2006 Jo set up Flex Pilates, originally teaching classes in North Sheffield. Since then the business has expanded to Leeds and Barnsley with people of all ages and abilities enjoying the benefits of this popular exercise. As well as teaching Pilates classes Jo also works with the APPI as an International Lecturer, teaching other Health Professionals the principles of Pilates teaching, enabling them to take the exercise into their practice. This side of her career has seen her travel to America in 2012 to teach 6 courses to rehabilitation professionals. Jo also travels within the UK, lecturing regularly on 3 different Matwork courses developed by the APPI. Having just had her second child, Jo has added Antenatal and Postnatal rehabilitation Pilates classes to the Flex Pilates' repertoire, teaching mums-to-be and new mums alike. After struggling with a muscle separation (Diastasis Recti) with her pregnancy, Jo used Pilates to re-strengthen her own core with great success. Since Christopher drowned I/RASS have educated over 500.000 young people and adults across North Wales UK and Ireland as to the dangers of open water. From the beginning I wanted to create a Legacy which would leave a memorable impact on both young people and adults in making them more aware of their own and others safety. The strain on our emergency services over the years and ongoing research has proved that CPR First Aid and SABL Education particularly in Wales was not on our curriculum and therefore in 2021 RASS in Partnership with Ajuda Training will provide this extra service across Wales. This would help in many ways to reduce incidents where people were rescued and aid in the saving of lives using the education taught on a peer to peer basis. RASS works with all the emergency services across the UK and is proud to be involved in the – All Wales Drowning Prevention Strategy of which members are RLSS RNLI ROSPA CFOA MPA to name but a few. Awards RASS has received recognition from Emergency Services across the UK and beyond. Awards such as Free To Network Resilience In Business – Finalist Pride of Britain – Special Achievement Award National Lottery Awards – presented By Bear Grylls – WCVA Award – Liverpool Lifestyle Award – Special Achievement The project is needed as there is not enough Water Safety and Lifesaving Education. Find out more here --- RHET SBCI can help you with: Farm Visits Classroom Speakers Resources Projects Events Farm Visits For Primary and Secondary schools RHET SBCI has a number of farms in the area with a network of volunteer farmers and their families who kindly give their time to support RHET. A farm visit can support many areas of the curriculum such as environmental studies, IT and business studies, technology, science, mathematics and enterprise. Visits are provided from Level 1, linked to experiences and outcomes, and compliment DYW, STEM and LfS agendas. We carry out regular risk assessments of all participating farms to the standard recommended in the Health and Safety Executive’s Guidelines on Educational Excursions. Around two weeks prior to the actual visit, the class teacher will visit the farm with our Project Coordinator to meet the farmer, walk the route and check over the risk assessment. Classroom Talks For Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools. We have a network of trained classroom speakers, made up of volunteer farmers from the local area, who can visit your school and bring farming and the countryside to life. Once a booking has been confirmed, the speaker will contact the teacher to discuss the format, content of the session and curriculum links. I am a Chartered member of both IOSH and CIEH and on the OSHCR register. I initially set up this business to provide practical and authoritative training in health and safety regulation and enforcement. Everything I include in my training is drawn from my 25+ years experience as a health and safety regulator, lecturer and Practitioner. During this time I have used the full range of enforcement options drawn from complex criminal investigation resulting in service of notices to prosecution of both individuals and large businesses. I worked for HSE for two years and held a full Inspectors Warrant providing advice and support to HSE and local authorities. I have investigated or managed many different incidents resulting in broken bones, multiple injuries and many fatalities. Here are a few: Crushed by barrier Fatal scalding Explodng tandoori oven Slip accident Fatality at a nightclub Child falls 15ft at a nursery Asbestos release 9m Fall from care home window I managed a team of local authority health and safety regulators and acted as mentor for their investigations. This involved providing advice on appropriate action, use of powers under S20 Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, providing advice on investigations and supporting them through to prosecution where appropriate. This has enabled me to develop detailed practical skills in investigation and interview techniques, PACE interviewing (including PEACE), dealing with lawyers and building successful cases for prosecution. I also provide advice to other local authorites assisting them in their investigations, reviewing prosecution files, acting as second interviewing officer and advising on all matters in between. For many years, I acted as the local authority liaison officer providing support to those bereaved following workplace fatalities. I have written guidance on this role which forms the basis of my training in family liaison. I have produced reports for coroners inquests and have presented evidence during inquests.
