Working with schools and colleges to deliver a quality programme of careers education. Aspire-igen is contract lead for the study programmes within West Yorkshire and North East. Supporting 16-19 closer to work Aspire-International is the UK’s careers centre of excellence and is part of the Euroguidance network.

We collect waste wood from a variety of companies and businesses from firms that have pallets and wood packaging waste, local engineers, theatres, production companies through to private house renovations. We also work with large national building sites: the construction process continually generates so much waste wood, much of which is reusable so keeps our shop stock varied and sustainable. The wood is then brought back to our warehouse, processed and repurposed to sell to the public in our shop. Doing this is very labour-intensive so creates lots of jobs, training and volunteering opportunities, providing local people with new skills and confidence to find work and improve their lives. We aim to be part of the regeneration of our local area and provide a positive impact. My Name is Monika Bammi and I am the proud owner of this business. Since I was a child I have always had a passion for helping people, I would help the kids in the street and elderly people where I lived and then when I grew up and married I studied and practised Reiki on people with the hope and prayer that the Universe would work its unimaginable power through me for the good of all. I studied reiki in India as well as in the U.K. over twenty years ago. Fast forward to present day and I’m now in a profession that does exactly what I have always hoped for. I have been blessed with the opportunity to pass on the healing and my life experience in helping others, to overcome their problems and issues and find the work-life balance that we have been searching for years. My Reiki and healing centre is based in Saks within the David Lloyd leisure centre in Moortown, Leeds. I am glad to say I have had many glowing referrals from people who have benefitted from this mysterious healing. I have had clients both rich and famous (no names) and I have had non-believers, all have felt the benefits and it has gone on to change their lives for the better. As well as Reiki, I do other treatments such as Life Coaching, NLP, Hopi Ear candles, Massage, Reflexology, Indian head massage. It started with the Kids Saturday Bike Club set up by Mike Healey, who is still one of the key members and coaches. Now joined by several British Cycling coaches, the club offers a variety of training sessions for all disciplines form road, to MTB to track to cyclocross, turbo, rollers and beyond. Our riders range from those who want to have fun on a bike to those who want to race, some of our youth riders have represented the club nationally and even internationally as well as representing Yorkshire at Inter Regional Events.
