Bm Trada

bm trada

High Wycombe

BM TRADA has a long history and heritage that we are justifiably proud of and we can trace our origins back over 80 years to 1934. We are a global testing, inspection and certification company that delivers critical services in materials testing, product qualification testing, inspection and certification to the Fire and Building Products marketplace, where failure in service is simply not an option. Everything BM TRADA does is designed to help our customers to develop better products and processes; get their products to market on time; save time and money; and minimize the risk associated with product and process development as well as product production. Our purpose as a business is a simple one. To help our customers to make certain that all of the materials, products and processes we test, inspect and certify for them, regardless of the industry sectors they operate in, are always safe in their end application; are of marketable quality; are compliant with all relevant standards and industry regulations; and are ultimately fit for purpose. In 1934, a forerunner of what later became the Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA) was set up, its mission, to promote the use of wood in construction in the face of a growth in the use of alternative materials. 60 years later in the mid 1990s and following a management buyout of TRADA’s operating companies, the testing, inspection and certification services were grouped together under the three brands, BM TRADA Certification, Chiltern International Fire and TRADA Technology.

Negotiation Workshop Ltd.

negotiation workshop ltd.

Oxford

Based in Oxford, Negotiation Workshop has been delivering highly impactful negotiation skills training and consulting to blue chip organisations in U.K. and Europe since 2001. We stay close to the latest research and academic development in the field and incorporate what impresses us from this arena with methodology that we recognise is effective in our own negotiations. It is not possible to deliver this sort of skills-development and consulting effectively by reading a script. Issues arise, questions are asked and genuine examples and anecdotes are required. Trainers need to be negotiators who have had relevant and significant commercial experience and this is what you will get from Negotiation Workshop. Many other training companies simply don’t have this sort of person on their books. Lead consultant for many workshops is David Bryson who has negotiated hundreds of high-value and often complex deals in many different countries. In addition to his wealth of commercial experience, he is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, has been extensively trained in the widely-used Harvard method at The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and holds a BSc.(Hons) in Economics. He has delivered negotiation skills training for the executive education programs of Warwick Business School and Cass Business School and regularly contributes to conferences on negotiation around the globe. Negotiation Workshop comprises a small team of senior, well-respected professionals, all of whom have had deep commercial experience and who excel at communication in the training context. Precisely who delivers your training program is important and will be discussed with you and confirmed at an early stage.

The Partnering Initiative

the partnering initiative

Oxford

The Partnering Initiative (TPI) was founded in 2003, with the passionate belief that only through collaboration among business, government, NGOs and the UN can we achieve the shared vision of a prosperous economy, thriving societies and a healthy environment. With roots going back to 1990, TPI is the world’s longest-established organisation dedicated to multi-stakeholder partnering. It remains internationally recognised as a pioneer of the field and continues to combine cutting-edge partnering theory, with direct action globally to drive effective partnering. TPI uniquely spans a spectrum from influence at the highest levels of international policy (including through our strong engagement with the United Nations system and international business organisations), through to drawing out learning and codifying practice from partnering managers on the frontline. TPI’s cutting-edge thinking, foundational concepts, frameworks and tools have helped to shape and define the field of multi-stakeholder partnering. TPI’s tools and guidebooks on all aspects of partnering have been downloaded over 50,000 times and have been used as the basis for multiple organisations’ internal guidance. TPI has trained over 4,000 people in effective partnering both through open and tailored training courses. It has guided the development of six in-country partnership platforms, resulting in the creation of multiple partnerships around the world. It has supported organisations such as Unicef, World Vision, the World Food Programme, Care International, Ikea Group, to develop their partnering strategies and build their institutional capacity to partner. And it has developed policy pieces that have influenced the United Nations system and international donors in their engagement and support of partnering. TPI’s work is guided by a UK-based core team, and delivered through a global network of associates and sister organisations based in over 20 countries.
