That’s cool, but first let’s break the ice a little… As you’ve already gathered, seeing as it’s plastered all over this website, my name is Richard and I’m a management and leadership training specialist. I work with all types of organisations, both large and small, but mostly those from within the public sector, supplying their management, leadership and wider skills training solutions. To date I’ve worked with over 50% of the country’s local authorities, supporting approximately 5000 people to become the very best version of themselves. I launched my own business in 2020 after spending around 18 years in both central and local government. My love of organisational and personal development exploded in 2012 when Breckland Council empowered me to create and lead Breckland Training Services (BTS), a local authority owned L&D company which has become quite infamous for its Local Authority Challenge product. There’s loads more I want to tell you about including: a Guinness World Record, paint brushes, Boy George, meeting over a thousand brides and walking 100km non-stop but I’ll leave that until we know each other a bit better. My name is Mike. I have been involved with agriculture and agricultural engineering all my life. Farming both arable and livestock. City and Guilds / NPTC assessor since 1989 Freelance instructor for LANTRA since 1990 End Point Assessor since 2019 for Landex / LANTRA (LBAL) Leading apprenticeship programmes for both agriculture and agricultural engineering apprentices as tutor and assessor since 2009. Recently being harvesting technical trainer for AGCO based at Stoneleigh Originally completed a 4 year apprenticeship in agricultural engineering, I moved to become demonstrator and technical support for several years before becoming self-employed carrying out many hundreds of fork lift truck and pesticides either training and / or assessments. I have always made sure that I can actually competently 'do' the task that I am asking the candidate to do. This way I am not only credible but can demonstrate and show people rather than just tell them. I will always attempt to tailor a course to suit individual needs if I can.

AQUAnimals founder Shirley Rush started the swim school back in 2015. The swim school was hiring private pools around South Norfolk and welcomed her sister Katie to offer more lessons but found more and more that availability was limited, pools varied in cost, depth/temperature/parking availability etc yet our demand was incredibly high. In 2017 we decided to start looking for another venue that could occupy a modern, fresh swim school. We found Rookery Business Park just a mile outside Attleborough. Not only were these new well insulated buildings with solar panels supplying power, it has easy access to the A11 and pretty central for most of our existing clients. Shirley drew a sketch of the layout she felt would work and architects brought it to life in literally an hour & a half! With plans in hand and a leap of faith we applied to Breckland Council and we were a step closer to freedom! Planning permission was granted just 5 weeks after submission and 3 days later we were in the building marking the floors with what would be our changing rooms & showers! Our very own premises, state of the art pool, purpose built and all brand new. We worked really hard and were so excited to be bring lessons to life on 18th September 2017. Three months after sitting with the architect. We’ve expanded hugely since 2017; a 400% increase in numbers, we now have 7 instructors teaching 7 days a week, we provide the curriculum swimming lesson provision for four local schools, became an approved Training Centre so we can host courses & CPDs, hire the pool privately for exclusive use, holiday courses etc. And we love it! Love this course from , so easy to do in your own time and not feel rushed and just fit it in between home /work life. My only downside it would be nice for a personal touch from rather than a computer generated one because us nail techs put our heart and soul into these courses.
