Welcome to my site. I have been practicing Breathwork for nearly 20 years and since 2012 I have been supporting people to transform their physical, emotional and spiritual lives using a variety of western Psychological and Eastern body based approaches. In 2016 I qualified as a Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release System practitioner, a powerful somatic (body-based) approach for the release of trauma and tension within the body with breathwork as a primary component. As our understanding of the effect of trauma on our nervous system, brain, and body increases so the new wave of somatic therapies such as the Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release system provide a powerful approach in combating the rising tide of trauma which is affecting our modern society. It is this combination of ancient body based approaches utilising therapeutic breathwork and bodywork alongside a holistic, conscious awareness of the body, that enables powerful healing and transformation to occur for a wide variety of issues.

Based in our home town of Leeds, we are a nationally recognised community enterprise. Seagulls was founded by Cat and Kate around a kitchen table in 2002. We have three core aims: PEOPLE- to provide training, volunteering and employment opportunities for some of the most marginalised people across Leeds. PLANET- to divert waste materials from landfill for the benefit of the Leeds community, raising awareness for recycling and reuse, whilst reducing carbon emissions. PROFIT- to generate income and ultimately become a self sustaining enterprise. We seek to improve the environment through the recycling and reuse of paint materials. Alongside the creation of work for disadvantaged people and groups; in addition to selling low-cost high-quality paint products to the local community. So far we have diverted 4 million litres of paint from landfill. This is the equivalent to filling 50,000 household baths with paint! With people and the environment at the core of our business, we are well placed to educate people. For example, teaching people the importance of reusing and recycling unwanted household materials. We have built a unique and creative local enterprise whilst thinking outside of the box, both in our approach to business and people.

Evolution Jujutsu is a training program that is designed for practical personal protection in ‘real life’ situations. Our aim is to develop confidence, co-ordination and the skills necessary to avoid or manage conflict. With our training you can learn how to confidently defend yourself in as little time as three months. Members train with people in their own age group so they can learn appropriate techniques and have fun. Evolution Jujutsu runs 5-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-17 years and adults classes throughout the week. Please check our timetable for more information on class times. We believe that you should have fun while you are learning, and that goes double for our younger students. Evolution Jujutsu Kids develop – • Social skills – getting along with peers and the meaning of ‘respect’ • Discipline – concentration, self-control, better study habits • Commitment – finish what you start • Positive self-image – healthy attitude toward self and others • Physical Conditioning – co-ordination, balance, flexibility, fitness • Situational awareness – recognise and avoid danger • Leadership – confidence, independence and courtesy.
