Frustrated by existing awareness training that seeks to convince corporations that queer people belong in a faulty system, rather than demanding meaningful change, our bespoke workshops and expert consultancy brings together gender studies, philosophy, racial justice and the law to educate, inspire and give our clients the tools to create positive change. Our clients are disrupters, influencers and architects of change, passionate about trans and non-binary liberation and are unafraid to use their voice to make a difference. Breaking Binaries is lead by Finn Grice (He/They), a proudly queer, trans masculine LGBTQA+ sector expert, advocate and policy researcher, who has been disrupting the status quo from an early age, leading his peers to use their voices to create change.

Our fire safety training instructors are fully qualified and insured fire safety professionals registered with the Institution of Fire Engineers. When they deliver a course they can draw on their years of experience to deliver interesting, meaningful training courses. The three key courses are the Fire Warden / Fire Marshal course, the Fire Safety Awareness course & the Fire Extinguisher Users course. All of our fire safety training courses are Certificated and designed around your specific risk if required. They are tailored so that the course is relevant to the circumstances and the people who work, use or frequent the building. Many less professional training providers will turn up and put a video on. This may prove to be inadequate under the law or in Health and Safety language, not suitable or sufficient. Many companies use online training aids. We do not advise the use of this training technique because students retain a lot less information. A pointless exercise if you want someone to be ‘trained properly’. And of course you can’t ask a computer screen a specific question or relate to real experience as you would with a trained Ex Fire Officer. Our advice to any person given the responsibility

My mother lost her hearing overnight due to a medical blunder, my family struggled to know what to do; jobs were lost, emotional reactions encountered and communication methods needed to be addressed. This is how I became involved in the Deaf community aged 13. Deaf Umbrella came from a good idea during a career break in 1999; why the name? Well, the internet was raining information down on us at this time, information we had never had so readily available to us before. The umbrella symbol was an opportunity for deaf people to shelter with us whilst they decided what advice was helpful to them! Deaf Umbrella empower deaf people by supporting their communication and promoting their opportunities for education and employment. We support people working with deaf people through high quality training and professional development. We have worked hard to be consistently recognised by our local business community and the London Business Awards for Training & Development, the Community Interest Company and as an Entrepreneur.
