My name is Marina, I am a native French, from the south of France near Carcassonne. I have been living in Edinburgh for 7 years and I have been teaching French for 3 years. Although I started a totally different career when I arrived in Scotland, I always knew that teaching was my true passion. In 2018, I started my own tutoring business with the intention to gather in my teaching everything that studying English and living abroad taught me about the mechanism of language learning. At the same time, I started a degree in psychology (my other passion) with the Open University, a course that is still ongoing.

After creating their first major art trail in Burton Upon Trent, the team behind ‘Burton Swans’ knew it couldn’t be their last.In one of the toughest years any of us have experienced and amid an international pandemic, thanks to the adaptability of those involved, Burton Swans was an incredible success and was a ray of light in uncertain times for thousands of participants. The project demonstrated just how important taking art out into community spaces really is. “It’s been the best thing in Burton to happen for many, many years!!! It’s really pulled everyone together especially more so in such unprecedented times. It’s had a huge positive effect on the people of Burton. Please, let’s have another one.”
