Formerly known as The Candle Factory, we have been making candles for over 50 years. As a family-run business, we are passionate about providing people with exciting family days out. We believe that creativity is crucial to a child’s development. This is why we always encourage our visitors to partake in all our activities. On top of the exiting activities that we currently have on offer, we also sell personalised handmade candles. From wedding candles to christening candles, we cover it all. We specialise in organising exciting crafts and candle making workshops for all to enjoy. Doodles is run by us, Anna & Lucy, childhood friends who grew up cutting, sticking and making dens together. In May 2013, armed with a kiln, some bisque, a splash of paint and a lot of enthusiasm, we started Doodles as a mobile pottery painting business and by the end of that year we opened our first studio. In June 2018, we moved into our beautiful studio based at Baytree garden Centre, just outside Spalding and our love for all things crafty just continues to grow. We are lucky to be surrounded by wonderfully supportive husbands and families, and to have our very special Doodles family of customers and friends we have met over the years. Contemporary kiln formed glass and stained glass handmade in Lancashire by International Glass Artist Karen Redmayne. Products and designs are influenced by the colour's and forms in nature. As every piece is handmade colour's and designs will vary from pictures, making every piece unique. All products are available in a full range of colour's and designs. All pieces are handmade in her Pendle based studio, in the heart of Lancashire. Karen also offers an extensive range of courses in her covid-secure workshop. vanilla ink jewellery school & studios

Vanilla Ink is Scotland’s unique Jewellery School and Studios. In 2017 it emerged as a Social Enterprise after crowdfunding £30,000 to develop a brand new school situated in the West End of Glasgow. In 2018 Vanilla Ink opened up another location in Banff, Aberdeenshire becoming a centre of excellence for Silversmithing and Jewellery. Vanilla Ink: The Smiddy continues to support and encourage local craft, heritage and skills. In early 2020, Vanilla Ink expanded and moved to bigger premises in the East End of Glasgow, creating more opportunities for growth and to thrive. February 2021 brought another change, with Ellie Smith-Barratt joining as director. Her drive, attitude and enthusiasm are second to none and continue to inspire us all! We are an environment that focuses on educating, inspiring and empowering the jewellery community and beyond. Built on transparency, honesty and building a welcoming environment, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience making.

As you may have guessed my passion is Ceramics and especially the hand building techniques such as ‘coiling’ and ‘slab building’ which I than carve back at the leather dry clay stage. I am intrigued by the Raku firing technique although Stoneware firing is a also a strong process in the finishing technique of my work. I like to classify myself as a Ceramicist rather than a Potter as I tend to think of a potter as artist that competently uses the wheel to produce functional work. I always find it hard to describe my work as it varies so much and takes it insperation from so many areas and influiences and these change regularly, one thing for sure is that I have more ideas in my head than I’m ever going to be able to make. As well a exhibiting locally and nationally I also teach and run workshops for Raku Firing and handbuilding. As I build my own Raku kilns I can now offer this as a service, so if you are interested please get in contact. I have been lucky to make some great friends through ceramics along the way and have to thank them all for enriching my life and saving me from complete madness.
