Hello and welcome to Calicoclair. I’m Clair, I have been a keen crafter for most
of my life. I discovered a passion for patchwork and quilting 12 years ago and
haven’t stopped sewing since. I am a Mum to four, 3 boys and a girl. I took a
break from my nursing career between number 3 & 4 following another house move
with my hubby. I started Calicoclair to give me some me time. I have had a job
since I was 15 and I found it strange not working. (I know, mad huh?) I enjoyed
Calicoclair so much that I finally made the big decision to lapse my nursing
registration in 2016. Scary at the time but I know it was the right decision.
Since then I have added classes to the mix, which I love. You may have noticed
that my Clair is missing letters/spelt wrong. Apparently Mum made a mistake on
the announcement cards when I was born (still woozy?!) It stuck and consequently
I could never find anything with my name on when I was little. I shared the
trait with my son. As all designs for Calicoclair are my own and can be
personalised to your requirements, no child has to suffer like I did. I hope you
