Essex Aikido Dojo (Shoshinkan) Essex Aikido Dojo (Shoshinkan) teaches the Tomiki system of Aikido and is affiliated to the British Aikido Association. Senior Instructors Shaun Hoddy is a Shihan Dai of the Japan Aikido Association and holds the rank of 6th Dan Aikido JAA and 1st Dan Taiho-Jutsu. Andy Wisbey holds the rank of 4th Dan BAA. Essex Aikido Dojo (Shoshinkan) is based at Basildon Sporting Village and is the premier Tomiki Aikido Dojo in Essex. Club coaches have grades ratified by the British Aikido Association and or the Japan Aikido Association
