Melton IT was established in 2001 by to provide digital skills training and eLearning solutions for the workplace. In this time we have delivered instructor led IT training courses and developed self-paced modules for technical and soft skills training, in both public, private, health and higher education sectors. Specialising in training Microsoft Office 365 and bespoke SaaS (Software as a Service) apps in a remote classroom environment, Melton IT delivers a personal service, from training needs analysis, course customisation, course delivery and course evaluation. We recognise that in the new hybrid work environment, we must change the way we design our self-paced training modules for our clients and how we deliver our instructor led training. We bring the to you remotely by Teams, WebEx or Zoom, saving your organisation thousands of pounds on scheduled courses and providing relevant training for your staff without the costs and hassle of travel. To maximise retention and skills transfer, our online courses can be structured as follows: Delivery Method 1 -Training is delivered in short segments of up to 2-2.5 hours over several days or weeks. Delivery Method 2 -Training is delivered over 1 - 2 days. Each course is broken down in to four sessions lasting no more than 1.5 hours, to reduce eye fatigue and cognitive overload.

I've been developing front end web and mobile apps in the United Kingdom for over 10 years. Recently my focus has been developing websites using Gatsby JS & TypeScript with various headless CMS's such as Prismic, Contentful, Headless WordPress, & DatoCMS, to name a few. DatoCMS is by far my favourite headless CMS. I've created a few open source plugins for DatoCMS. My two most popular can be viewed here along with the repos: Font Awesome v5 icons: PluginRepo Responsive widths: PluginRepo As well as contracting for various large SAAS platforms mainly using React JS, Gatsby JS & TypeScript, I'm now compiling and teaching a catalogue of courses on front end web development. Online Courses & Tutorials Way back when I was a junior developer, I was fortunate enough to have been mentored by experts in the field. This allowed me to rapidly progress in my career and understand and architect multiple large projects in my time as an expert front end developer. While I'm still largely involved in contract work, I'm simultaneously passing on the buck and sharing my knowledge. The Blaque Room is an community organisation started in in the hopes of highlighting the realities of sexual assault, human trafficking and similar atrocities. Although this is the case The Blaque Room also prides itself on being a place that offers some solutions by signposting people to organizations that can help, safety apps and also by being a supplier of personal safety devices. Established in November 2020 after a viral sexual assault video took the internet by storm, The Blaque Room saw the need to make young women and boys feel safe. Therefore, put up a post detailing the plan of supplying personal safety alarms to THIRTY young people in the local area and was soon inundated with thousands of requests for an alarm, thousands in donations and thousands of messages of support and also messages of people who have overcome and are still going through various forms of abuse. People of all ages, races and genders were thrilled with the idea of there being an organization that seeks to tackle sexual assault head on and provide a deterrent/ solution. Being an open and transparent organization, anonymized messages and requests would often be shared with followers of the page to keep them updated and make them aware of the demand. Since then, The Blaque Room has had the honour of providing over seven hundred young people across England with personal safety devices for free. A significant amount of the recipients has had to use their alarms and have in fact attributed them to saving their life.

The Customer Factor was launched in 2004 by our CEO and President, Steve Wright. He owned a window cleaning business at the time and was tired of messing around with index cards and the manual follow up process. Follow up is important but having to sift through index cards all the time just wasn’t fun and was a huge time waster! So The Customer Factor got its start primarily as a way to automate the follow up processes in Steve’s own business. There simply wasn’t any any other program available at the time that automated the process. From those humble beginnings in 2004 we have grown to the point where The Customer Factor is now simplifying and streamlining service businesses all over the world. The Future… Have we finished building? Not a chance! We’re building out our infrastructure now to handle the growth and as technology gets introduced we’re latching on to it if it makes sense for our user base. And we all know the future is mobile, so our iOS and Android apps are growing with new features constantly. New Features are also being introduced into the software almost weekly. Software, if done correctly, is never “finished”. We take this literally. We don’t wait months or a year to introduce an update. That’s nutty.
